摘要： An automobile spider wheel is made of aluminum alloys and has an outer face layer made of stainless steel. A process for manufacturing the automobile spider wheel includes working the stainless steel insert by a known press process based on side face shapes of an automobile wheel. Joining faces of the insert are treated roughly by sanding or brushing for joining with melted aluminum alloys. Protrusions are fixed on the joining faces of the insert in positions corresponding to rim support faces of the insert. The stainless steel insert is inserted in surface-to-surface relationship with a surface of a lower mold of a molding device with the protrusions projecting upwardly. The stainless steel insert is integrally molded to the melted alloys to form the wheel by a known die casting process after closing the molding device. The automobile spider wheel of Al alloys with a viewable face layer of the stainless steel plate insert has a pleasing appearance without any of the aluminum plating showing in the external appearance of the wheel and the wheel faces are easy to clean.

The outer part has spaced connecting plates projecting from the inner side through corresponding slots of the inner part. Tension springs are connected to the connecting plates at outer ends. Inner ends of the springs are connected to a steel ring secured to the inner part. The outer part has a larger diameter than the outer part so that an outer edge thereof covers a portion of a lateral side of a tire joined to the wheel, thus reducing thickness of visible portion of the tire lateral side to make the tire to look like a sport tire that has a relatively low aspect ratio, i.e. the proportion of the thickness of the lateral portion to the width of the tread of the tire.

Each of the protective caps is secured in a respective through hole of the wheel cover and has a first side defining a plurality of positioning recesses in one of which the locking section of the through hole of the wheel cover is secured, and a second side provided with a decorative protruding section extending outward from the fixing rim of the wheel cover.

摘要： The present invention provides a strap, preferably made of pliant leather, with a method of easily and securely attaching its two ends together such that it forms a loop around the hub of a bicycle wheel. As the bicycle wheel spins, the loop naturally moves about on the hub and removes oil and dirt from the hub. The strap includes a pattern of cuts along its two long edges and has a rough inner surface to assist in cleaning and includes an optically reflective outer surface for rider safety. The size of the strap is approximately 16 cm long by 1.4 cm wide by 1 mm thick so that it is large enough to freely spin on the hub yet not too large as to strike the spokes and create unwanted noise. The method of attaching its two ends comprise one or more holes at one end of the strap and an arrowhead with one or more pairs of notches at the other end of the strap. In connecting different notches and holes together, different sized loops may be formed. In another embodiment of the present invention, the arrowhead includes a tab that feeds easily through the selected hole and assists in pulling the arrowhead through the hole. In another embodiment of the present invention, the method of attaching its two ends comprise hook and loop material, which also allows for various loop sizes. In another embodiment of the present invention, the method of attaching its two ends comprise a snap and a complementary snap retainer.

摘要： An ornamental wheel cover integrally retained on the lug nuts of a vehicle wheel that provides positive positioning of the cover to the lug nuts. The lug nuts preferably have a flange that defines an upper shoulder. The cover is provided with a number of elongated tubular extensions axially projecting from the cover that are each partially slotted to provide a plurality of cantilevered fingers. Each finger has an undercut groove that has a shoulder which positively positions the cover to the upper shoulder of the lug nuts of the wheel. Below the undercut groove is a bulbous portion that contacts the lug nut below the flange. When the cover is attached to the wheel, the elongated tubular extensions are aligned with the lug nuts and the cover is moved axially inwardly of the wheel so that the cantilevered fingers separate slightly as the bulbous portions pass over the flange of the lug nut. The shoulder of the undercut groove engages the upper shoulder of the lug nut flange, thereby providing a positive axial location of the cover to the wheel and eliminating the effects of misalignment of components due to tolerance stack ups. The bulbous portion passes over the flange of the lug nut and engages the underside of the flange, thereby retaining the cover on the lug nut.

摘要： The present system discloses a universal wheel trim attachment system in which a wheel liner is attached to a wheel under the wheel lug nuts. Universal wheel trim attachment system has a center piece which can act as a hub cover. Surrounding the opening is a plateau on substantially an X-axis and perpendicular to a Y-axis. Around the plateau there is placed a first incline. Around the first incline there is placed a ledge which merely shows the change in direction between a first incline and a second incline which surrounds the first incline. A valley surrounds the second incline. A ridge surrounds the valley. A lip surrounds the ridge and rests upon the outer portions of the wheel. The wheel liners are also provided with lug holes, oval holes, and hand holes.
