Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to writing tools for applying volatile marking substances over articles but not including removable caps in one ends thereof to prevent drying of their tips. More particularly, the present invention generally relates to writing tools with one or more caps movably or fixedly couple with such tools, operate between off-states and on-states, obstruct openings of such writing tools in order to prevent drying of their tips in the off-states, and clear such openings so as to expose their tips through the openings in the on-states, where the caps are preferably synchronized with the tips. The present invention also relates to various methods of preventing drying of such tips of the writing tools without having to use removable caps, those of incorporating various caps into the writing tools and obstructing and clearing the openings of the writing tools thereby, those of exposing and enclosing such tips between use and rest positions while preventing or minimizing leaking of the marking substances out of the writing tools, those of and so on. The present invention further relates to various processes of providing any of the above writing tools, their members, and/or their units.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to exemplary aspects and their embodiments of various keys, various key units incorporating such keys, and various key assemblies incorporating such keys and/or key units. More particularly, such a key of the present invention may preferably include multiple sections (or parts) each of which may be assigned or associated with a different character such as a numeral, an alphabet, and/or a symbol. The key unit of the present invention may include mechanical and/or electrical units each of which may be coupled to one of such sections (or parts) of the key and to allow the user to represent such a character assigned to one of such sections (or parts) simply by applying input force thereto. Therefore, such a key unit of the present invention may advantageously allow the user to select any of multiple characters assigned to different sections (or parts) of a single key by providing single input force to any of such sections (or parts), without having to require such an user to manipulate another section of another key. Moreover, such a key unit of this invention may advantageously allow the user to consecutively select all of multiple characters assigned to different sections (or parts) of the single key by consecutively applying input forces only to different sections (or parts) of such a key, without requiring the user to manipulate another section (or part) of another key during manipulation of such sections (or parts) of such a single key and/or without necessitating the user to wait for a preset period to select one of multiple characters assigned to such a single key. The key assembly of the present invention may incorporate such keys and/or key units of the present invention arranged according to preset patterns for the purpose of allowing the user to select each of the character assigned to various sections (or parts) of each of the keys by applying the input forces only to desired sections (or parts) but not to other auxiliary keys thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to a ventilation system for a toilet to discharge odorous air from a toilet cavity of the toilet through an exit before the odorous air escapes from the toilet cavity. More particularly, the present invention relates to a toilet ventilation system for collecting the odorous air from the toilet cavity, transporting such through air pathways thereof, and discharging such to the exit. The present invention also relates to a toilet ventilation system for collecting the odorous air from the toilet cavity, removing at least a portion of odorous substances contained therein, and returning or recirculating a substantially odor-free air into a space in which the toilet is placed. Such a ventilation system of the present invention may be incorporated into various toilets in various embodiments such that, e.g., at least a portion or an entire portion of such a ventilation system may be embedded into the toilet or its parts, movably coupled to the toilet or its parts, detachably coupled to the toilets or its parts, or fixedly coupled to the toilet or its parts. Accordingly, the ventilation system of the present invention may be incorporated into a new toilet during its manufacture and/or may be arranged to be retrofit into an existing toilet. In addition, the toilet ventilation system of this invention may be arranged to ventilate a single toilet or to ventilate multiple toilets.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to key assemblies and methods thereof for direct and remote control of operations of various devices including vehicles such as, e.g., automobiles or other land vehicles. More particularly, the present invention relates to a key assembly and related methods provided with a direct mechanism to directly lock and unlock a doors of a vehicle as well as a remote mechanism to lock and unlock the same door. Each of the direct and remote mechanisms is spatially disposed with respect to the other mechanism and/or operatively coupled to the other mechanism in order not to interfere the operation of the other mechanism and/or in order to reduce a characteristic dimension of such a key assembly. The key assemblies and related methods of this invention can be applied to any device of which the operations can be controlled by two or more different mechanisms, where one of such mechanisms may require a close disposition or a direct contact with the device for intended operations, while the other of such mechanisms does not require such a close disposition or direct contact for the same or similar intended operations.
Abstract:
This disclosure generally relates to various directional input units of a mobile communication terminal, where such directional input units receive a single user input or multiple concurrent user inputs and then acquires at least one selecting (user) sub-input therefrom while a terminal is in its powered-off state or its off-state. After acquiring the selecting user sub-input, a terminal runs at least one pre-selected operation which is selected from a set of multiple pre-selected operations and which matches the selecting user sub-input when a terminal powers on from its powered-off state or wakes up from its off-state. A directional input unit may acquire the selecting user sub-input from a movement of at least a portion thereof, a contact between at least a portion thereof and a user body part, or the like. As a result, a terminal can provide a user with more seamless operations.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electromagnetically-countered system including at least one wave source irradiating harmful electromagnetic waves and at least one counter unit emitting counter electromagnetic waves for countering the harmful waves by such counter waves. More particularly, the present invention relates to generic counter units of electromagnetically-countered systems and to various mechanisms for countering the harmful waves by the counter units such as, e.g., by matching configurations of the counter units with those of the wave sources, matching shapes of such counter waves with shapes of the harmful waves, and the like. The present invention also relates to various methods of countering the harmful waves with the counter waves by such source matching or wave matching and various methods of providing the counter units as well as counter waves. The present invention further relates to various processes for providing such systems, such counter units thereof, and the like. The present invention relates to various electric and/or magnetic shields which may be used alone or in conjunction with such counter units to minimize irradiation of the harmful waves from the system.

Abstract:
Various multicolor writing tools and methods for applying multiple volatile marking substances one at a time. The tool includes a case member, a cartridge member, a cap member, and an optional actuator member. The case member forms an interior in which is disposed the cartridge member with multiple cartridges each containing one of the marking substances and a tip through which the marking substance is applied. The cap member changes and restores its configuration, while the actuator member changes the configuration and exposes one of the tips selected by an user out of the interior when the tool is in use, and then restores the configuration and encloses all of the tips inside the interior when not in use. Thus, the tool opens the cap member in response to input force without requiring the user to engage in a separate maneuver to remove the cap member.
