    Abstract: Disclosed is a method of transmitting a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) by a user equipment (UE) using carrier aggregation, including transmitting, over a first component carrier (CC), a first transmission using a first power and a second transmission using a third power; and transmitting, over a second CC and simultaneously with the first transmission and the second transmission over the first CC, a first transmission using a second power and a second transmission using a fourth power, wherein a sum transmission power across the first and second CCs is maintained during an entire DMRS bundling duration.

    Abstract: The disclosure provides an apparatus and method supporting enhanced transmission schemes of up to 8 transmission port (8 TX) uplink (UL) transmission for sounding reference signals (SRSs). A method performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station, downlink control information (DCI) including a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource indicator (SRI) field; and transmitting an SRS based on an SRS resource allocated to the UE in the SRI field. The SRI field indicates a transmission rank and one or more precoding weights based on an SRS set including NSRS SRS resources, where 1≤NSRS≤8, and an SRI field bit length that is less than a threshold value determined from a maximum number of layers to be transmitted and the NSRS SRS resources.

The method includes initiating a process to provide the transmission grant for a transmission within a particular time. The method includes verifying that there is no cancellation indication that overlaps the particular time.     Abstract: A system and method for random access procedures in a non-terrestrial network. In some embodiments, the method includes calculating, by a user equipment (UE), a timing advance based on location information of the UE and on an ephemeris of a non-terrestrial network node. The method may further include randomly selecting a random value from a plurality of values, and sending, at a transmission time, by the UE, to the non-terrestrial network node, a random access (RA) message, which may include a signature. The transmission time may differ from a nominal transmission time by an amount based on the random value, the nominal transmission time being based on the timing advance, or the signature may differ from a nominal signature by a cyclic shift based on the random value.
