    Abstract: Disclosed are a method for transmitting and receiving a synchronization signal in a wireless communication system supporting NarrowBand-Internet of Things (NB-IoT) and an apparatus therefor. Specifically, the method for transmitting and receiving a synchronization signal may include: receiving, from a base station, a narrowband synchronization signal; and performing a cell search procedure for the base station based on the narrowband synchronization signal, in which the narrowband synchronization signal may include a narrowband primary synchronization signal and a narrowband secondary synchronization signal, the narrowband primary synchronization signal and the narrowband secondary synchronization signal may be transmitted in different subframe, and the subframe in which the narrowband secondary synchronization signal is transmitted may be configured differently according to a type of a radio frame structure.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving narrowband (NB) synchronization signals. A base station transmits an NB secondary synchronization signal (SSS) indicating N NB cell identities assigned for NB Internet of Things (IoT) operation, a specific sequence generated by multiplying a base sequence with a cover sequence in element units is used for the NB SSS, wherein the base sequence is generated through a second Zadoff-Chu sequence having a length corresponding to a largest prime number less than a length L in a frequency domain, and the specific sequence is divisionally mapped to and transmitted in a plurality of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols in elements each having a length M.

    Abstract: A method for receiving system information in a wireless communication system supporting a Narrow Band (NB)-Internet of Things (IoT), the method performed by a terminal comprising: receiving a narrowband synchronization signal (NBSS) through a narrowband (NB) from a base station; acquiring, based on the NBSS, time synchronization and frequency synchronization with the base station; and receiving the system information related to the NB-IoT through a narrowband physical broadcast channel (N-PBCH) from the base station, wherein the system information includes at least one of operation mode information indicating an operation mode of an NB-IoT system or control information indicating an index of a legacy CRS (cell-specific reference signal) sequence, and wherein the control information is associated with a PRB (physical resource block) index of a PRB to which the legacy CRS is transmitted.
