Abstract: This application discloses a resource configuration method and apparatus. The method includes: obtaining, by a terminal, a slice attribute corresponding to a slice type of a first session, where the slice attribute corresponding to the slice type includes at least one of a security requirement or a latency requirement of the slice type; and performing resource configuration for the first session based on the slice attribute. In this way, a security requirement and/or a latency requirement of network slices can be implemented on a terminal side.

Abstract: This application is directed to a method and an apparatus for associating an application with a network slice, and a communications system. The method includes: obtaining, by a terminal, display instruction information, an identifier of a first network slice that the terminal is allowed to access, and service feature information corresponding to the first network slice. The method further includes: displaying the service feature information corresponding to the first network slice on a first display interface of the terminal based on the display instruction information, and generating a first network slice selection policy when detecting an operation of associating a first application with the first display interface. The first network slice selection policy can include a mapping relationship between the first application and the identifier of the first network slice corresponding to the first display interface.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe a user equipment (UE) handover method and a device for the field of wireless communications technologies. The method may include obtaining, by a target base station, an identifier of a source control plane and a context identifier of the UE from a source base station. The method may also include sending, by the target base station, the identifier of the source control plane and the context identifier of the UE to a target control plane device, where the identifier of the source control plane and the context identifier of the UE are used to obtain a context of the UE. Furthermore, for example, an X2-interface-based handover across control planes is provided, and implementation of a core network is simplified.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies and discloses service transmission methods, apparatus, and devices. In one embodiment, a method includes: obtaining, by a target server or user equipment, an Internet Protocol (IP) address assigned by a target gateway to the user equipment; establishing a Multipath Transmission Control Protocol (MPTCP) connection between the user equipment and the target server based on the IP address assigned by the target gateway to the user equipment, where the MPTCP connection between the user equipment and the target server and an MPTCP connection between the user equipment and a source server are bound to a same MPTCP session; and transmitting a service data packet using the MPTCP connection between the user equipment and the target server. The service data packet is transmitted using the target gateway so a transmission path is optimized and a service transmission delay is reduced.
