Abstract: Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing mechanisms for a network to use Doppler shift pre-compensation values for communicating Tracking Reference Signal (TRS) to a user equipment (UE) and for implementing mechanisms for triggering the UE to measure the Doppler shift pre-compensated TRS. Some aspects of this disclosure relate to a base station including a processor that determines a Doppler shift pre-compensation value associated with the UE in response to determining that the UE is moving with a speed greater than a threshold. The processor further generates an aperiodic Tracking Reference Signal (AP-TRS) or a semi persistent TRS (SP-TRS) for the UE. The AP-TRS or the SP-TRS is decoupled from a periodic TRS (P-TRS). The processor further transmits the AP-TRS or the SP-TRS to the UE. The AP-TRS or the SP-TRS can be used for time and frequency synchronization.

Abstract: A base station configures a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) for a user equipment (UE) operating in a frequency band above 52.6 GHz. The base station allocates a predetermined number of resource blocks (RBs) for a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission, wherein the predetermined number of RBs is greater than one RB, transmits a PUCCH configuration including the predetermined number of RBs to the UE and receives a PUCCH transmission based on the PUCCH configuration and including a data sequence and a DMRS sequence, wherein the PUCCH configuration results in a multiplexing of a plurality of UEs based on a plurality of demodulated reference signal (DMRS) sequences.

Abstract: Aspects are described for a user equipment (UE) comprising a transceiver configured to enable wireless communication with a first transmission/reception point (TRP) and a second TRP and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver. The UE is in a multi-TRP mode. The processor is configured to perform a first beam failure detection (BFD) procedure for the first TRP and a second BFD procedure for the second TRP. The processor is further configured to perform a first beam failure recovery (BFR) procedure for the first TRP responsive to a result of the first BFD procedure and a second BFR for the second TRP responsive to a result of the second BFD procedure. The processor is further configured to receive a configuration message, a BFD configuration, and a BFR configuration. The UE switches to a single-TRP mode upon receiving the configuration message. The processor is further configured to update the first BFD procedure based on the BFD configuration and update the first BFR procedure based on the BFR configuration. Finally, the processor is configured to perform the updated first BFD procedure and the updated first BFR procedure for the first TRP responsive to a result of the updated first BFD procedure.
