Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may transmit capability information including an indication of a discontinuous monitoring delay period. The UE may receive a message including an indication to adjust monitoring of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), and monitor for the PDCCH during the discontinuous monitoring delay period. The UE may adjust monitoring for the PDCCH following the discontinuous monitoring delay period during a temporal period based on the received indication to adjust monitoring of the PDCCH. In some examples, at least one of physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) reception, downlink reference signal monitoring, uplink reference signal transmissions, and channel reporting is enabled during the temporal period while monitoring of the PDCCH is adjusted.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a multilevel encoding scheme, a transmitting device may divide a stream of information bits in a message into multiple substreams, and the transmitting device may input each substream to a different level of an encoder such that each substream is encoded separately. The transmitting device may also input excess bits to some levels of the encoder to add physical layer security to the message. To improve the chances that a receiving device is able to correctly decode the message, the receiving device may be configured to identify the levels at which the excess bits are encoded. Accordingly, the receiving device may be able to decode the information bits in the message and avoid attempting to decode the excess bits in the message as information bits.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication at a first user equipment (UE) are described. A UE may receive a control signal indicating a set of durations. A duration of the set of durations may be scheduled for uplink resources and additional resources including downlink resources, flexible resources, or both. The UE may further receive an indication of a slot format configuration permitting sidelink communications on the uplink resources during the duration scheduled for the uplink resources and the additional resources. Upon identifying that sidelink communications are permitted, the UE may transmit a sidelink transmission using the uplink resources and during the duration.

A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration signal indicating a codebook construction configuration for constructing a codebook of sequences for conveying a first type of uplink payload in a resource block that is orthogonal to a second type of uplink payload transmitted from a second UE in the resource block. The UE may construct the codebook of sequences for the first type of uplink payload according to the codebook construction configuration. The UE may generate the first type of uplink payload for transmission using a first sequence from the codebook of sequences. The UE may transmit the first type of uplink payload in the resource block, wherein the first type of uplink payload is multiplexed in the resource block with the second type of uplink payload from the second UE.

Abstract: Peak to average power ratio (PAPR) reduction with respect to signals of component carriers of a carrier aggregation configuration may be provided using preconfigured or fixed PRT location sequences (e.g., fixing the number and location of PRTs). Abstract: In an aspect, a UE obtains information (e.g., UE-specific information) associated with a set of triggering criteria (e.g., from a server, a serving network, e.g., in conjunction with or separate from a set of neural network functions) for a set of neural network functions. Abstract: Aspects relate to time-interleaving of code block groups (CBGs) of a transport block. Some deployments can include configuring a downlink transmission to a scheduled entity that overlaps in time with an uplink transmission from the scheduled entity when the scheduled entity is operating in a full-duplex mode. CBGs may be time-interleaved to accommodate and/or mitigate interference between downlink and uplink transmissions. The modulation and coding scheme (MCS) of the transport block can further be adjusted to accommodate and/or mitigate interference between the downlink and uplink transmissions. Techniques discussed herein can be used at various nodes, components, and/or devices in a wireless network (e.g., UEs, BSs, CUs, RUs, DUs, etc.). Abstract: Aspects relate using peak reduction tones on a supplementary uplink to reduce peak to average power ratio on the supplementary uplink. For example, when a UE elects to switch from a primary carrier (e.g., a 5G NR carrier) to an SUL carrier (e.g., in a limited coverage scenario), the UE may use a defined set of PRTs to transmit data on the SUL carrier. In some examples, PRTs may be used on multiple carriers. For example, a first set of PRTs may be defined for an SUL carrier and a second set of PRTs may be defined for another carrier.
