    Abstract: Aspects relate to Layer 1/Layer 2-centric inter-cell mobility communication systems where measurement information from at least one user equipment (UE) is sent to a base station. Based on this information, the base station may select at least one of a remote radio head (RRH), a serving cell, or a cell assigned with a physical cell ID that serves a particular UE using one of Layer 1 or Layer 2 control signaling based on the received measurement information and a system serving cell configuration or mode of operation. Additionally, an indication may be provided of whether cell configurations are the same for target and source cells in an inter-cell handover and a UE may utilize the same source cell configuration during a handover when connecting with the target cell when the configurations match or at least partially match.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for receiving reference radio frequency (RF) signals for positioning estimation. In an aspect, a receiver device receives, from a transmission point, a reference RF signal on a wireless channel receives, from a positioning entity, an indication that the reference RF signal serves as a source for a quasi-collocation (QCL) type(s) for positioning reference RF signals received by the receiver device from the transmission point on the wireless channel, measures an average delay, a delay spread, or both the average delay and the delay spread of the reference RF signal based on the QCL type(s), receives, from the transmission point, a positioning reference RF signal on the wireless channel, and identifies a time of arrival (ToA) of the positioning reference RF signal based on the measured average delay, the delay spread, or both the average delay and the delay spread of the reference RF signal.

An example method generally includes receiving signaling indicating activation of path loss (PL) reference signals (RSs), determining that the UE can reduce an application time for using the PL RS for uplink power control purposes, wherein the reduced application time is reduced relative to a non-reduced application time, and using PL RS measurements taken according to the reduced application time for uplink power control.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for enhancing coverage while transmitting an acknowledgment (ACK) to a base station to acknowledge a beam change instruction. Such aspects of the present disclosure may increase the reliability of control information transmitted on a control channel by a user equipment (UE), such as ACK feedback transmitted on a physical uplink control channel by a UE to a base station. In certain aspects, a UE may receive, from a base station, information indicating a beam switch from a first beam via which the UE communicates with the base station to a second beam. The UE may further transmit, based on the information indicating the beam switch, two or more ACK messages to the base station on a control channel, and the two or more ACK messages may acknowledge receipt of the information indicating the beam switch from the base station.
