Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for muting positioning reference signals. In aspects, a location server sends, to a user equipment (UE), a plurality of positioning reference signal configurations and one or more positioning reference signal muting configurations associated with a transmission-reception point (TRP) identifier (ID) and/or a positioning reference signal ID. A first TRP sends, to the UE, a command triggering at least one positioning reference signal muting configuration, wherein the triggered positioning reference signal muting configuration indicates that: the one or more positioning reference signals of the one or more positioning reference signal occasions of at least one positioning reference signal configuration are not being transmitted, or the one or more positioning reference signals of the one or more positioning reference signal occasions of all of the plurality of positioning reference signal configurations are not being transmitted, and mutes positioning reference signals according to the triggered positioning reference signal muting configurations.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device (e.g., a base station or a user equipment (UE)) may identify a sequence length corresponding to a number of resource blocks, and select a modulation scheme based on the sequence length. The device may select, from a set of sequences associated with the modulation scheme, a sequence having the sequence length. In some examples, the set of sequences may include at least one of a set of time domain phase shift keying computer-generated sequences or a set of frequency domain phase shift keying computer-generated sequences. The device may generate a reference signal for a data transmission based on the sequence and transmit the reference signal within the number of resource blocks.

Abstract: A base station may identify an association between a set of physical cell identifiers (PCIs) identifying different transmission reception points (TRPs) and a set of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for a user equipment (UE). The base station may transmit a TCI state and PCI association indication to the UE. The UE may receive a downlink transmission using a receive beam associated with a TCI state, and may identify a PCI of the set of PCIs to use to decode the received downlink transmission. In cases where the TCI state used to receive the downlink transmission is associated with multiple PCIs, the UE may select a default PCI from the multiple PCIs, and may decode the received transmission accordingly. In some examples, the UE may receive reference signals from one or more of the serving TRPs and may identify a PCI to use to decode the received reference signals.

A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive, from a base station, an indication of a set of resources for transmitting a set of phase-coherent sounding reference signals (SRSs). The UE may receive, from the base station, a control message indicating a cancellation of an allocation of a first portion of the set of resources. Abstract: Wireless positioning accuracy of a user equipment (UE) is impacted by locations of the transmit/receive points (TRPs) and UE for wireless positioning. To improve the accuracy of estimated locations, a geometric dilution of precision (GDOP) may be determined for different groups of candidate TRPs, with the GDOP indicating a potential positioning error associated with the group of candidate TRPs. A UE may determine GDOPs for different combinations of candidate TRPs. One or more devices of a wireless network (e.g., a location server and/or a UE for positioning) may select or exclude one or more candidate TRPs from being used for wireless positioning of a UE based on the determined GDOPs. Exclusion or selection of candidate TRPs for wireless positioning may also be based on quality measurements of PRSs (such as an RSRP or SNR) or a time duration associated with measuring the PRSs from the candidate TRPs to be selected.
