    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit a group proximity message indicating that a group of UEs, including the first UE and a second UE, are located within a defined proximity of each other. The first UE may receive a beam configuration for the group of UEs based on the group proximity message. The first UE may then communicate with a base station based on the beam configuration. For example, the first UE may be configured for beam measurement and reporting for the group. The base station may then select a common beam for the UEs in the group based on the beam measurement and reporting performed by the first UE.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for one or more wireless devices to gain access to a wireless channel of a radio frequency spectrum band. In some aspects, a recurring coordinated medium interval is defined in the time domain and associated with the wireless channel. The coordinated medium interval includes a first time period, which may be referred to as a common reservation window, and a second time period, which may be referred to as a scheduled medium access window. During the first time period, access points (APs) attempting to gain access to the wireless channel may transmit reservation signals to reserve one or more scheduled service periods within the second time period of the same coordinated medium interval. The scheduled service periods reserved by an individual AP may be used for UL/DL communications between that AP and its associated stations (STAs).

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station and a user equipment (UE) with a defined capability may communicate using beamformed wireless communications. The defined capability may be that the UE may support fewer activated physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states than activated control resource set (CORESET) TCI states. The defined capability UE and the base station may implement techniques to determine which TCI state to use when the UE supports fewer activated PDSCH TCI states than activated CORESET TCI states. The UE may use an activated PDSCH TCI state selected by a media access control (MAC) control element (CE), an activated TCI state of a specific CORESET, a TCI indicated in scheduling downlink control information, or an activated PDSCH TCI state selected by a radio resource control (RRC) message.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive control signaling indicating a beam update configuration that defines a timing for updating a common beam for communications with the UE in relation to a communication and in response to a downlink control information (DCI) message that schedules the communication and indicates an update to the common beam. In some aspects, the common beam is shared across a set of channels, a set of reference signals, or both. The UE may then receive, from a base station, the DCI message that schedules the communication and indicates the update to the common beam. The UE may then perform at least one beam switching procedure to update the common beam at the UE based on receiving the DCI message and in accordance with the beam update configuration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a serving base station, a message indicating a set of synchronization signal block (SSB) resources for synchronization signal transmission by the serving base station and by one or more neighbor base stations. The SSB resources may include a first portion of resources associated with the serving base station and additional portions of resources associated with the one or more neighbor base stations. The UE may identify two or more symbols which are adjacent to consecutive SSB resources of the set of SSB resources, and exclude the two or more symbols from being used for communications between the UE and the serving base station based on the two or more symbols being adjacent to consecutive SSB resources. The UE may communicate with the serving base station on symbols other than the two or more symbols.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) to receive a message including transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states information associated with beam information for uplink or downlink resources. The UE may identify multiple channels or reference signals, or both, to which a TCI state is to be applied based on associated indications included with the TCI state information. In some examples, the TCI state information may also include indications of source reference signals for quasi co-location (QCL) assumptions for the indicated channels or reference signals. Based on applying the TCI state, the UE may determine beam information for uplink or downlink resources and may communicate with the base station accordingly.
