Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives, from one or more transmission-reception points (TRPs), one or more on-demand downlink positioning reference signals (DL-PRS), the one or more on-demand DL-PRS having one or more downlink transmission parameters, and transmits, to the one or more TRPs, one or more uplink positioning reference signals (UL-PRS), the one or more UL-PRS having one or more uplink transmission parameters, wherein values of the one or more uplink transmission parameters are the same as or within a threshold of values of the one or more downlink transmission parameters.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a UE transmits, at a first time during a measurement window for positioning purposes, a first uplink reference signal in accordance with a first timing adjustment parameter, wherein the first time is offset from a downlink frame time of a base station by an amount of the first timing adjustment parameter, determines whether to use a second timing adjustment parameter, transmits, in response to the determination to use the second timing adjustment parameter, at a second time during the measurement window, a second uplink reference signal in accordance with a second timing adjustment parameter, wherein the second time is offset from the downlink frame time of the base station by an amount of the second timing adjustment parameter, and transmits a report indicating that the second timing adjustment parameter has been applied to at least the second uplink reference signal.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a request to a device (e.g., another UE, base station) in wireless communication with the UE, where the request may be for the device to transmit a signal to the UE as part of an energy transfer procedure, a security key generation procedure, or both. The UE may receive, from the device, an indication of at least a frequency range to be used for fulfilling the request, and may receive the signal pursuant to the request and the indicated frequency range. The signal may provide energy for the energy transfer procedure or may be a basis for security key generation during the security key generation procedure.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for determining a position of a user equipment (UE). A differential round-trip-time (RTT) based positioning procedure is proposed to determine the UE position. In this technique, the UE position is determined based on the differences of the RTTs between the UE and a plurality of base stations. The differential RTT based positioning procedure has much looser inter-gNodeB timing synchronization requirements than the OTDOA technique and also has much looser group delay requirements than traditional RTT procedures.

An example method for operating a user equipment in a discontinuous reception mode including an active mode for communicating with a network and an inactive mode when the user equipment does not communicate with the network includes determining a trigger condition based on a communication with the network, determining the inactivity timer value based on the trigger condition, and operating the user equipment in the active mode during a duration of the inactivity timer value and in the inactive mode after the duration of the inactivity timer value.

Abstract: Methods of reducing the interferences of radar signals with uplink or downlink data communication signals in a wireless system for both data communication and radar sensing may include configuring the transmitters of the radar signals and the data communication signals such that the data communication signals and the radar signals are transmitted using different radio frequency resources, and/or configuring the receivers of the data communication signals to receive the data communication signals using a receive beam that does not collide with radar beams. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a base station may update its channel state information (CSI) on a sidelink between a first user equipment (UE) and one or more second UEs aperiodically using control information to trigger the CSI reporting process. The aperiodic CSI process may include the base station transmitting a timing requirement and control information to a UE. The control information contains a CSI request may be received and decoded at the UE. According to the CSI request, the first UE may transmit a reference signal on the sidelink for the second UE(s) to measure. The UE(s) may generate and transmit a CSI report on the sidelink to first UE, and the first UE may aggregate the received CSI report(s) and transmit them to the base station within the time period specified by the timing requirement received in the control information.

Abstract: Aspects in a wireless network are disclosed. A user equipment (UE) may report, to a base station, a capability of the UE to simultaneously transmit sounding reference signal (SRS) resources between component carriers (CCs) in carrier aggregation (CA) across at least one frequency band using a specified arrangement of antenna ports and antennas. The UE may receive, from the base station, a configuration to simultaneously transmit the SRS resources using antenna switching for the CCs across the at least one frequency band and the specified arrangement of antenna ports and antennas. The UE may transmit the SRS resources simultaneously between at least two of the plurality of CCs in the at least one frequency band using the received configuration. Among other benefits, this dynamic allocation of resources enables the UE to perform at a level commensurate with its intrinsic capabilities, increasing network efficiency and speed.
