Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink control information (DCI) message associated with scheduling uplink transmissions from the UE on a set of component carriers (CCs). The DCI message may indicate that a first uplink channel on a first CC of the set of CCs at least partially overlaps in time with a second uplink channel on a second CC of the set of CCs. The UE may multiplex, based on the first uplink channel at least partially overlapping in time with the second uplink channel, uplink control information (UCI) with an uplink data transmission on the first CC or the second CC. The UE may transmit the UCI and the uplink data transmission multiplexed on the first CC or the second CC based at least in part on the DCI message.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for pilot design for Narrow-Band Internet of Things (NB-IoT). In certain aspects, the method generally includes determining at least one binary code sequence to use as a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) for a channel transmitted across one or more subframes using one or more tones within a resource block (RB) allocated to the UE for narrowband communication, and transmitting the channel including the DMRS using the one or more tones and the determined binary code sequence. In certain aspects, the binary code sequence may be determined based on a binary random sequence, such as pseudo noise (PN) or Gold sequence.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Feedback information associated with decoding downlink information may be reported in a first stage and a second stage. A size of the second stage may be restricted by an upper limit associated with an available set of uplink resources for transmitting the feedback information. Limiting the size of the second stage may include reducing a size of second information generated for the second stage, yielding third information for the second stage. The third information may be transmitted with first information generated for the first stage. Limiting the size of the second stage may also include generating second information having a reduced size based on determining that the upper limit may be exceeded. The reduced-size second information may be transmitted with the first information.
