    Abstract: An electric motor control device includes a feedforward controller, a feedback controller, and an adder-subtractor. The feedforward controller receives a position command signal to specify a target position of a control target load and outputs signals representing a target position, target speed and torque of the electric motor. The feedback controller outputs a feedback torque command signal representing a torque command to perform feedback control in such a manner that an electric motor position signal and a feedforward position command signal coincide with each other. The adder-subtractor subtracts a load acceleration feedback torque signal obtained by multiplying a load acceleration signal representing acceleration of the control target load by a load acceleration feedback gain from a torque command signal obtained by adding a feedforward torque command signal and the feedback torque command signal, and outputs a result of the subtraction as a torque command correction signal.

    Abstract: Systems and methods of controlling movement of a moving part of an applicator for jetting material from the applicator are disclosed. The method includes actuating a piezoelectric device operatively connected to a needle by providing a voltage waveform to the piezoelectric device, such that the needle translates along a positional path in a first dispensing operation. The method also includes sensing positions of the moving part over a period of time, where the positions define a time-dependent positional profile of the moving part, and receiving parameters for a second dispensing operation. The method also includes determining a required voltage waveform to be applied to the piezoelectric device to perform the second dispensing operation, and adjusting the voltage waveform provided to the piezoelectric device to match the required positional profile.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic actuator device includes an actuator having an actuator coil and a tappet that can be moved in and against a longitudinal direction. The actuator device includes a sensor device having a transmitter element arranged on the tappet and a sensor element for generating a measurement signal, containing information about a current actual position of the tappet, depending on a magnetic field generated by the transmitter element. The actuator device includes a control unit with a controller, which applies a control voltage to the actuator coil for generating an electromagnetic field during operation in dependence on a position signal based on the measurement signal, so that the tappet moves into a target position. During operation, a stray magnetic field is generated by the at actuator coil, an adaptation of the measurement signal is performed to compensate for the influence on the measurement signal caused by the stray field.
