    摘要： A drinking fountain and bubbler or nozzle structure therefor. The drinking fountain is fully recessed into an opening provided therefor in a building wall, and it has a drinking chamber closed by rearwardly converging sidewalls, top and bottom walls, and rear wall but open along its front wall or face to provide access into its interior. A bubbler structure is mounted in one of the sidewalls and has a face substantially contiguous therewith. The bubbler structure has a nozzle chamber open along its face and equipped along the base with a nozzle through which a stream of water is directed for oral interception within the drinking chamber. The nozzle chamber, nozzle, and base wall of the chamber have specialized orientations and dispositions that cause the water trajectory to be upwardly, inwardly, and rearwardly directed with respect to the drinking chamber, and that also cause the drinking fountain and bubbler structure to be substantially squirt proof by finger manipulation of children and the like. The fountain and bubbler structure also have vandal resistive features and characteristics.

    摘要： An arrangement for functionally interconnecting the operating handle of a drinking fountain with a freeze-proof valve therefor, and which arrangement facilitates installation of the handle assembly. The handle assembly is provided with a shaft journaled for rotation relative to an access cover plate adapted to be secured to a pedestal of the fountain in covering relation with an access opening in a sidewall thereof. The external end of the shaft is secured to the handle for rotation therewith, and the internal end of the shaft is equipped with an eccentric plate having an inwardly projecting pin at an eccentric position relative to the axis of rotation of the shaft. The pin is adapted to project through an eye provided at the upper end of an elongated operating rod which extends upwardly through the pedestal from the freeze-proof valve located at the lower end portion of the pedestal toward the upper end portion thereof, and is translatable between retracted and extended positions wherein the valve is respectively closed and opened. A spring secured between the rod and the access plate retains the rod and eyeequipped upper end thereof in operative connection with the pin both during installation of the handle assembly and during use thereof.

    摘要： A drinking fountain of the type having a valve-controlled nozzle structure through which water is discharged along an upwardly and inwardly oriented trajectory toward the center of a bowl having a discharge outlet or drain connected to waste. The fountain is substantially vandal proof, and in this respect has a pedestal anchored to a floor or platform by fastener structure concealed within the interior of the pedestal after anchorage is effected. The bowl of the fountain and control valve therefor are recessed so that prying-type implements cannot be inserted between either such component and respectively underlying surfaces of the pedestal, and the shield that extends upwardly in somewhat overlying relation with the nozzle outlet is covered by a guard that seats the shield therein so as to protect the same from impact blows.

    摘要： A yard hydrant wherein no separate operating handle component is used or required and the operation of a valve assembly is accomplished by a movable spout head. A vertically disposed flow pipe disposed within a standpipe has a valve means at its lower end and is secured at its upper end to the hydrant head. Water under pressure reaching the valve will normally elevate the valve to closed position with the flow pipe and hydrant head being elevated accordingly. The valve means is either full open or full closed and is opened by depressing the hydrant head to correspondingly depress the flow pipe and open the valve. Means are provided to releasably lock the hydrant head and valve in depressed or full on position. Upon release of the head from depressed position, water pressure on the valve automatically elevates it to closed position. An adjustment means in the head relative to the top of the flow pipe is provided for regulating the volume of flow, if desired.

    摘要： A drinking fountain having a faucet from which water discharges upwardly and inwardly toward the center of a basin equipped with an antisplash ridge projecting from the concave bottom wall of the basin and terminating in a narrow crown having downwardly and outwardly curved slopes merging into the bottom wall of the basin. The ridge is aligned with the water discharge from the faucet to prevent splashing impingement of the water against the basin bottom wall, and the ridge is provided along the crown thereof with a port communicating with the basin waste outlet and serving normally as a ventilation opening therefor. The fountain also includes a hollow pedestal containing both the waste conduit and water supply conduit, the latter of which serves as a locating device to establish the relative orientation of the basin and pedestal for assembly thereof.
