摘要: Systems and methods of forming articles using electromagnetic radiation are disclosed. In some aspects, the system includes a plurality of forming modules movably mounted relative to an infeed mechanism. The infeed mechanism is configured to supply pre-form articles to the plurality of forming modules, and each of the plurality of forming modules includes a multi-segment mold disposed about an electromagnetic coil. The electromagnetic coil is configured to impart an electromagnetic force on the pre-form articles when supplied with electrical energy that urges the pre-form articles into contact with the multi-segment mold to produce the formed containers.

[Solving Means] A seamless can body 1 having a tubular body section 10 and a can bottom section 20. The can bottom section 20 includes an outer circumferential bottom section 202a extending from a lower end of the tubular body section 10 such as to decrease in diameter toward the inside and an annular grounding section 202E positioned further inside than the outer circumferential bottom section 202a. In a case where t1 is the sheet thickness of the outer circumferential bottom section 202a and where t2 is the sheet thickness of the annular grounding section 202b, the relation of t2>t1 is satisfied.

摘要: A can seaming apparatus including a frame, a can handling assembly, a can driving assembly and a seaming assembly. The can seaming apparatus is configured to seal a lid to a can through a double seam can seal. The can is positioned and clamped between an upper and a lower chuck. The can driving assembly spins the can and the upper and lower chucks about an axis. The seaming assembly includes two rollers mounted to a roller frame which pivots about an axis relative to the frame. The roller frame can be pivoted so as to selectively have the two rollers sequentially engage the can to form the necessary crimping operations.

摘要: The present invention relates to a testing lid for testing the stroke of a holding plate of a closure head of a can closing device for cans, in particular beverage cans, the testing lid comprising: an edge portion provided for positioning onto a can edge, in particular for additional crimping with the can edge; and an inner portion, in which one or a plurality of testing pins are arranged in a force-fitting manner, the testing pins being displaceable by the holding plate in the direction of stroke while a stroke of the holding plate is taking place. The invention additionally relates to a method of testing the stroke of a holding plate of a closure head of a can closing device for cans making use of the testing lid according to the present invention.

摘要: A coating composition includes: (a) 60 to 90 percent by weight of an active hydrogen-containing polyester having a number average molecular weight of at least 23,000, an acid value below 5 and a hydroxyl value below 10, (b) 0.1 to 10 percent by weight of a polyanhydride, and (c) 5 to 30 percent by weight of a curing agent reactive with the active hydrogens associated with (a) and (b), the percentages being based on weight of resin solids of the coating composition, where the reaction product of the coating composition forms a single coating without including a thermoplastic polymer. The coating composition is useful in coating food and beverage containers, particularly 2-piece cans formed by drawing and redrawing (DRD).

摘要: A method for fabricating a double layer cup-shaped part may include shaping a first material into a hollow cylinder, mounting the hollow cylinder on a draw punch, where the draw punch may include an upper punch portion with a first diameter and a lower punch portion with a second smaller diameter. Mounting the hollow cylinder on the draw punch may include tightly fitting the hollow cylinder around the lower punch portion. The method may further include forming the double layer cup-shaped part by drawing a blank material through a draw die by placing the blank material over an upper opening of the draw die, and pressing the draw punch over the blank material. The first material may form an inner layer of the double layer cup-shaped part and the blank material may form an outer cup-shaped layer of the double layer cup-shaped part.
