    Abstract: A waste management system, primarily intended to be for waste floating in water, though it can also be used on land. A shredding device will reduce the size of the particles of waste. Ocean water is removed by a drying device. The dried waste material is cryogenically frozen using liquid nitrogen or other suitable means. The frozen waste material is then pulverized and ground into a powder. The powder may then be sprayed into a gas-filled chamber and heated. Temperature, pressure and humidity are maintained within the chamber for more than one minute. Microwave or other radiation and catalysts may be used to enhance the process of extraction. The processed material is then removed from the chamber. Carbon and water may be recycled. The carbon may be used as fuel by the ship. Water may also be used by the ship or returned to the ocean in a non-toxic condition.

    Abstract: An apparatus for tearing meat is disclosed. The apparatus includes a gravity-fed hopper including at least one sidewall that forms a first opening configured to receive meat articles and a second opening configured to discharge torn meat articles. The apparatus includes a rotatable spindle element positioned at least partially within the hopper and downstream of the first opening. The rotatable spindle element includes a shaft having a longitudinal axis and a plurality of teeth coupled to the shaft, the teeth being spaced apart from one another. The apparatus includes a plurality of rods, which extend from the sidewall spaced apart from one another and which are interlaced with the plurality of teeth, and a motor coupled to the rotatable spindle element configured to rotate the rotatable spindle element to cause at least some of the plurality of teeth to rotate and pass between two different rods.

In the cleaning position, the normal (n) of the first opening (26a) of the granule chamber (22) points towards a surface plane of the substrate.

    Abstract: A waste destruction device for sharps, needles and solid waste preferably includes a material intake member, a destruction device and a storage member. The material intake member includes an intake housing and an intake cover. The intake cover pivots from an open to a closed orientation to receive objects to be shredded. At least one microprocessor board is used to control devices of the waste destruction device. The waste destruction device preferably includes a cutter housing, a first cutter member, a second cutter member, a cutter motor and a cutter intake housing. The waste destruction device preferably contains disinfection devices for disinfecting thereof. The storage member preferably includes a storage housing, a container drawer and a waste container. The container drawer is slidably received by the storage housing.
