    摘要: A contour map signal generator is provided for generating television signal. The contour map signal generator consists of n-series connected circuit, each generating signals for a first pattern and second pattern enlarged or reduced from the first and outputting by arithmetic addition contour map data representative of a step region consisting of two patterns. n-step contour map data generated through the n-series circuit is stored in an image memory and read out to be fed back to the input of said contour map signal generator. n x N-step contour map is generated through N times feedback operations. The contour map data is used for generating a television signal representative of a picture effect in which the original pattern area is enlarged or reduced as the time elapses for highlighting the original pattern.

    摘要: An energizing voltage is series coupled with a diode, an inductor, a flyback transformer primary winding and an input terminal of a deflection circuit. During trace, the diode is forward biased causing a voltage to be developed across and an input current to flow in the inductor. During retrace, opposite polarity retrace voltage commutates off the diode and decouples the input terminal from the energizing voltage at a varied instant within retrace, in accordance with the amplitude of the input current. The amplitude of the input current is related to the ultor load current. A voltage that is indicative of the input current is developed across a capacitor. A DC voltage between one plate of the capacitor and a reference conductor controls the deflection current in the deflection winding such that variations in the ultor voltage produce the same sense variations in the DC voltage that is supplied by the capacitor for maintaining a substantially constant raster width.

    摘要: A pulse width modulator is described for width-modulating horizontal rate pulses developed in a television receiver and for applying the width-modulated pulses to the receiver's horizontal drive system. In the illustrated embodiment, the modulator includes a differential amplifier which senses the receiver's high voltage and beam current to develop a control signal which varies in accordance with variations in the beam current and the high voltage. A second differential amplifier receives the control signal and horizontal rate pulses for developing pulses whose width is varied in response to variations in the control signal. The width-modulated pulses cause the horizontal drive system to generate a substantially constant horizontal picture size despite variations in line voltage and brightness.

    摘要: A simplified bootstrap deflection circuit includes a sawtooth capacitor with one end grounded. First and second serially connected resistors provide charging current to form a ramp voltage across the capacitor. The noninverting input of an amplifier is coupled to receive the ramp. The amplifier output is coupled to a deflection winding and current sensing resistor. A feedback path couples the current sensing resistor to the inverting input terminal. A resistor is coupled to the inverting input terminal and to a reference potential. A bootstrap capacitor couples sawtooth feedback voltage at the inverting input terminal to the junction of the first and second capacitors for producing a constant voltage across the second resistor for linearizing the ramp. The feedback path includes a series variable resistor which acts as a centering control.

    摘要: An arrangement for varying the triggering phase of a thyristor or other controllable switch employed to vary the excitation of a sweep deflection circuit during changes in the circuit load is described. The output of a winding of the deflection transformer is converted to a constant-amplitude sawtooth voltage which has a DC component proportional to the amplitude of the then-occurring forward sweep portion of the sweep voltage. A zener diode or other comparison element coupled to the output of a variable voltage divider whose input is fed by the resulting sawtooth voltage generates a trigger pulse for the controllable switch at the instant, during each cycle of the sweep waveform, that the constant-amplitude sawtooth voltage exceeds a predetermined value.
