    摘要: A router especially adapted for cutting plastic fibrous materials cleanly. The router design is a cylindrical body having two sets of cutting edges extending the full length of the bit except for the shank. The cutting edges are helically oriented along the shaft of the router and one set of cutting edges extends helically right-handed while the other set of the cutting edges extends helically left-handed. The two cutting edges are separated by a pair of flutes or grooves diametrically opposed to each other. The cutting edges are also diametrically opposed to each other along the shaft of the cylinder. The router bit is used to trim plastic laminated materials reinforced with fibers.

    摘要: A rod is first grooved longitudinally along helical lines by broaching, milling, forging, or the like, after which a helical groove is cut by a threading die across the longitudinal grooves, the helixes of the grooves being oppositely directed to form cutting teeth having a leading chisel-like cutting edge from which a facing surface and a side surface trail, the included angle between the surfaces being acute. After wear, the teeth can be sharpened by reforming the grooves using dies of slightly smaller size. During cutting action, the rod saw develops thrust and tends to move lengthwise; a reaction member is provided to resist such movement and make for easier operation.

    摘要: A machining tool has a main body with a carrier surface. Cutting bodies each having a cutting edge are arranged on the carrier surface, the edges rotating in a direction of rotation which runs around an axis of rotation during the machining. The edges of a group including a plurality of cutting bodies overlap in a gapless manner with respect to the direction perpendicular to the direction of rotation and form an overall edge. All of the edges are arranged between end points of the overall edge. The group has a minimum number of teeth defined by the number of edges at least situated one behind the other in the direction of rotation in an intermediate region of the overall edge. The edges of the group overlap with respect to the direction perpendicular to the direction of rotation such that the minimum number of teeth is at least two.

The saw box may be coupled to the side walls of the feed unit by pivot pins that define a rotational axis. A motor may be mounted to one side of the saw box to drive a saw arbor in rotation. The system may include an actuator that is selectively actuable to pivot the saw box about the rotational axis relative to the feed unit. Another actuator may be provided to move the saw box laterally along the pivot members. The feed unit may be slideably mounted on rails and selectively movable along the rails relative to a feed axis that extends through the saw box and the feed unit.
