    摘要： A router including a base for supporting the router on a work piece surface, a motor housing supported by the base, and a motor supported by the housing and operable to drive a tool element. The router also includes a hand grip attachable to one of the base and the housing. The hand grip may be contoured to fit a hand of an operator and may be at least partially formed of an elastomeric material. The router may also include a fixing assembly for fixing the housing in a position relative to the base, the fixing assembly including a clamping member for applying a clamping force to the housing to fix the housing in a position relative to the base, and an actuator for moving the clamping member. The router may also include an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the position of the housing relative to the base, the adjustment mechanism including a coarse adjustment assembly for making relatively large changes in the position of the housing, and a fine adjustment assembly for making relatively small changes to the position of the housing. The adjustment mechanism may be operated when the router is supported in an inverted position below a work table. A router case having a removable molded base plate may be provided to support the router on a surface.

The string is secured to the cutter carriage at one end. The height indicator further includes an urging member interconnecting the work table and the other end of the string. The string has a reference segment that extends between the ends of the lever and that is exposed from the lever so that the moving distance of the reference segment can be measured with reference to the lever.

    摘要： A wood planing machine includes left and right pairs of posts fixed uprightly at left and right mounting sides of a machine base. A cutter carriage is disposed above the machine base, and has opposite end portions mounted respectively, vertically and movably on the posts. A cutter unit is disposed on the carriage. A carriage locking mechanism locks the cutter carriage at a selected height relative to the machine base. A thickness adjustment device is mounted on the cutter carriage for adjusting thickness to be removed from a workpiece by the cutter unit, and includes a pointer-retaining case that is fixed on the cutter carriage, and that is formed with a vertical row of positioning groove units, a vertical measuring disposed on the pointer-retaining case, and a vertical stop shaft. The shaft extends rotatably and is mounted vertically and movably on the pointer-retaining case, and has a lower contact end abutting against the machine base. A horizontal scale pointer is disposed within the pointer-retaining case, and is fastened securely to the stop shaft for synchronous movement therewith.

    摘要： An insertable multiple stop indicator gauge for selective height, depth and workpiece platform control as between the tool and the workpiece is disclosed. The multiple stop apparatus is detachably attachable to a milling machine tool carriage and to a screw shaft operably secured to the travel of the carriage, the carriage including upper and lower casting lips, the screw shaft including an adjustable knob threaded on and about the shaft and further including a carriage stop threaded on and about the shaft, but above the adjustable knob. The present inventive improvement comprises an insertable lower stop platform for controlling depth of tool cut in the platform in which the stop platform possesses one fork-like end detachably attachable to the lower casting lip and securable thereonto by the adjustable knob, the lower support platform having a circular opening in its opposite end. There is also provided a rotatable stop collar held within the circular opening in the stop platform and a plurality of stops adjustably held within the collar, the stops parallel to the direction of carriage travel. Additionally provided is an insertable indicator platform having one fork-like end detachably attachable to the carriage stop knob, the indicator platform including receiving means at its opposite end. Additionally, the apparatus includes a plunger-type linear motion indicator fixed within the receiving means of the indicator platform, having the plunger thereof in linear alignment with a selected stop of the rotatable stop collar, such stop reflecting the desired depth of the milling tool in the workpiece, whereby travel of the indicator platform relative to the selected stop of the stop platform may be verified by viewing the face of the indicator during its downward travel with the indicator platform.

    摘要： A tool setting device for a machine tool (10) having a numerical control (22) includes a gage unit (24) with a frame (26) adapted to be secured upon a slide (20) of the machine tool. A photodetector, which includes a source (96) and a receiver (98), is mounted upon the frame for generating a first signal indicating the arrival of the tip of a tool (18). A slide (64) mounted upon the frame carries an engagement head (38) adapted to be contacted and displaced by the tool tip. An LVDT (60) is mounted upon the frame in proximity to the engagement head for sensing its axial displacements. A control meter relay (86,88) is operatively connected to the LVDT and generates a second signal after initial displacement of the engagement head and a third signal after displacement of the engagement head to a reference position. The numerical control is adapted to reduce the relative velocity between the tool tip and the frame after generation of the first signal and to further reduce the relative velocity after generation of the second signal. The numerical control samples the reference position of the tool tip after generation of the third signal. The various signals are also capable of illuminating lights (R,G,A) for facilitating manual tool setting by an operator.
