摘要： An apparatus and a method for attaching at least one carrying handle to a bag, such as a shopping bag, grocery bag, or the like. Individual handles are severed from a continuous web of handle material. Bags are conveyed at a predetermined velocity, with a longitudinal axis of each bag substantially perpendicular to the bag's direction of travel. Each carrying handle is transported proximate a front or back surface of an associated bag, and in a direction of travel wherein a longitudinal axis of the carrying handle is substantially parallel to the direction of travel of the bag, and substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bag. The handle is transported at a velocity substantially equal to the predetermined velocity of the bag. The handle is applied to the bag when a handle accepting region of the bag contacts an attachment panel portion of the carrying handle.

摘要： A bag made from plastic film includes a handle and a gusset that is integral with the handle and with front and rear panels of the bag. Left and right side-welds unite the front and rear panels as well as the respective left and right ends of the handle. A process can create such structures from a single, seamless sheet of plastic. In the process, a handle opening is preferably provided in the handle, and a handle seal is provided below the handle opening. The handle may then be inserted between the front and rear portions, and the left and right side edges of the bag, the gusset and the handle may be fused together at respective left and right side-welds.

摘要： A bag pack comprises a plurality of easy open handle bags. The bags are easy to open because the exterior surfaces of the bags are cold-welded together so that when one bag is pulled from the pack, the adjacent next bag is at least partly open. The external surfaces of the bags are not welded to the internal surfaces of the bags during the pressure welding process, because the material that forms the external surface of the bag is treated with a corona discharge, which renders the external surface more susceptible to cold weldings. Optionally a static charge is induced on the bags so that each bag is at a different voltage than the adjacent bags so the bags attract each other, and the panels of each individual bag repel each other, to contribute to the easy open feature.

摘要： A method for manufacturing a sack or bag with a bottom being rectangular in the filled state and a handle portion joined thereto. An economical method for production by machine, according to the invention includes the following steps carried out sequently. A flattened tube piece (10) is provided with two slits at one end. The slits are substantially parallel to each other and to the lateral edges of the tube. Then a bottom square is formed by folding the tube piece near the slit end with corner tucks (14) and side tucks (16, 18). A prefabricated handle portion (22), including a reinforcing strip (24) and a connection strip (26) is glued or welded such that an edge portion (20) of one side tuck (16) is not covered by the prefabricated handle portion. Subsequently, such side tuck (16) and the corner tucks (14) are folded along a fold line (28) extending through the center of the corner tucks (14) and the uncovered edge portion (20) is glued or welded to the corresponding adjacent section of the handle portion. Finally a griphole cut (36) is punched in reinforcing section (24).
