Abstract:
The invention relates to the field of computer telephony integration. In particular the invention relates to displaying and producing computer based documents seamlessly to users that relate to their telephone calls. The best mode of the invention is considered to be the use of the invention with social media, such as Facebook, where the mobile station (30) searches for the social media page of the caller based on the Caller ID and displays it to the recipient of the call on the mobile station screen, possibly with other Internet search results. The methods and arrangements of the invention allow the user to obtain the newest public information about the person who calls him or he decides to call, or any documents that might be intermittent between the people. In other words the Desktop or screen of the invention automatically arranges itself to a state in which it is easiest to work during the call, using searches made based on call parameters, such as caller ID. The invention adds “bandwidth”, i.e. speed, efficiency and more dimensions to personal communication, as the users of the inventive system can also visually see by documentation what is going on in the relationship between two or more people.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a head mounted display apparatus with phone function. The display apparatus includes a framework, at least one micro display mounted on the framework, a phone unit, a projecting unit, an image capturing unit, and a processing unit. The phone unit can communicate with external land phones or mobile phones to receive or dial a call. The processing unit directs the projecting unit to project a virtual keyboard onto a projection surface, directs the image capturing unit to capture images of the virtual keyboard, determines input information by comparing each captured image with the image of the initial virtual keyboard, and controls the phone unit to dial a call according to input numbers after receiving a dialing command
Abstract:
A system and method for semi-automated dialing is provided. The system includes a display, and a standard keyboard upon which some keys have both a numeric and alphabetic interpretation. An input is received from the keyboard. A determination is made if the input consists only from the keys that have both numeric and alphabetic interpretation. If this is the case, then a numeric analysis is performed. Otherwise, a word analysis is performed. The numeric analysis includes determining if the input has an alternate interpretation, and if so then displaying them so that the user may select the intended input. Determining alternate interpretations includes comparing the input with a dictionary. The word analysis includes searching for word matches between the received input and words in a dictionary, and then converting the matched words into numbers using telephone convention. Results from the analyses may be dialed.
Abstract:
A dialing system includes a user interactive unit, a response receiver and a central processing unit. The central processing unit is pre-programmed to first activate the user interactive unit to communicate an entry identification to the user for allowing the user to determine whether or not the entry identification communicated by the user interactive unit matches with the entry identification of the target phone number, wherein when the entry identification communicated by the unit interactive unit does not match with the entry identification of the target phone number, the user interactive unit is arranged to communicate the next identification entry to the user without dialing the corresponding phone number, and when the entry identification communicated by the user interactive unit matches with the entry identification of the target phone number, the central processing unit is arranged to activate the phone to dial the target phone number.
Abstract:
An input method for a communication device includes the steps of displaying a result box and a dial ring comprising a plurality of buttons on a touch screen of the communication device; receiving a touch and slide operation on a button; recognizing the touch and slide operation and rotating the dial ring according to the slide operation; and displaying information represented by the touched button in the result box when the touched button rotates to a predetermined position. People who are used to rotary dial phone can use the input method without difficulty.
Abstract:
Devices and methods are presented to remotely dial wireless communications devices. A device is equipped with a microphone and a plurality of logic units to analyze incoming acoustic signals in the form of Morse code. Acoustic signals may comprise tapping sounds, or voice patterns to create the “dits” and “dahs” associated with Morse code. Background noise can be eliminated using digital signal processing (DSP). The device can be used in a variety of environments where phone numbers and addresses need to be dialed from a distance or in emergency situations.
Abstract:
An automatic dialing method through a wireless headset is provided, which contains two modules: a headset module implemented in the wireless headset; and a master module implemented in a communication device. When the wireless headset and the communication device are idle, a user triggers the headset module by activating a combination of buttons on the wireless headset. The headset module in turn triggers the master module via a wireless connection between the wireless headset and the communication device. The master module then immediately retrieves records from a phone book pre-installed in the communication device, and then speaks out the “name” of each record to the user. When hearing the name of the desired call parted from the wireless headset, the user again triggers the headset module to instruct the master module to dial the number stored in the same phone record.
Abstract:
A mobile platform for use in a mobile communications network. The mobile platform includes an alphanumeric input device adapted to receive alphanumeric input from a user as an input alphanumeric string; memory; and a processor coupled to the alphanumeric input device and the memory. The processor receives the input alphanumeric string; replaces one or more characters within the input alphanumeric string with its numeric equivalent to generate an output numeric string; and initiates a dialed call using the output numeric string.
Abstract:
A system and method for routing of telephone calls allows for convenient connection to a party where the telephone address is not known. A database is coded by keywords such as common nickname, trade-mark, or trade name. The system is available to all, and as such, becomes a valuable resource. Problems associated with telephone address recollection are avoided and the advertising message can concentrate on the corporate entity. In this way, contact information is more readily available and can be accessed in different manners using the telephone keypad to query the database.
Abstract:
As part of a system and method for transmitting a signaling tone over a packet switched data (or other communication) network, an audio encoder may have a speech encoding unit and a tone distorter. The tone distorter may distort one or more components of a signaling tone within an audio signal and the speech encoding unit may encode speech and the distorted signaling tone within the audio signal. A control signal may be sent to a tone generator to reproduce the distorted tone.
