    Abstract: A resettable counter having an electromagnetic stepping mechanism and a reset mechanism with a manually operable slide for sequentially laterally withdrawing a transfer pinion shaft for disconnecting the counter wheels and pivoting a reset finger comb about the pinion shaft for resetting the counter wheels. The manual reset slide is connected for axially pivoting a stepping pawl of the electromagnetic stepping mechanism out of engagement with a star wheel coupled to the lowest order counter wheel to permit the counter wheel to be reset.

    Abstract: An electromagnetically operated impulse counter comprising a casing, numeral wheels disposed within said casing and freely mounted on a bearing shaft, releasable transmission means for operatively interconnecting said wheels, heart cams associated with said wheels and provided with a control lever for resetting the counter to zero, an electromagnet rigidly fixed to said frame, a moving armature for cooperating with said electromagnet at each current impulse, an escapement anchor which is pivotally coupled to said armature, the first numeral wheel being provided with a toothed escape wheel for cooperating with said escapement anchor which is so shaped as to permit the free rotation of the first numeral wheel and of the escape wheel when said anchor is brought by the zero resetting control lever into a position located between the two end positions thereof.

    Abstract: A RESETTABLE COUNTER IS PROVIDED WITH A PLURALITY OF STATIONARY SHAFTS INCLUDING A NUMBER WHEEL SHAFT AND RESET FINGER SHAFT MOUNTING A PLURALITY OF RELATIVELY STATIONARY SHEETLIKE PARTITIONING MEMBERS IN FIXED SUBSTANTIALLY PARALLEL SPACED RELATIONSHIP FOR SEPARATING THE NUMBER WHEELS AND RESET FINGERS INTO INDIVIDUAL COMPARTMENTALIZED UNITS, AND A RETRACTABLE PINION SHAFT FOR MOVING THE TRANSFER PINIONS INTO AND OUT OF ENGAGEMENT WITH THE NUMBER WHEELS DURING THE RESETTING OPERATION. A RESET PLUNGER RETRACTS THE PINION SHAFT AND DRIVES THE RESET FINGERS IN UNISON FOR RESETTING THE NUMBER WHEELS. THE PLUNGER AND RESET FINGERS ARE DRIVINGLY CONNECTED BY A DRIVE SPRING WHICH PERMITS CONDITIONING OF THE RESET FINFERS FOR RESETTING PRIOR TO RETRACTION OF THE TRANSFER PINIONS AND SNAP-ACTION RESETTING UPON RETRACTION OF THE PINIONS.
