    摘要: A rolling-element bearing cage includes two axially spaced-apart side rings extending in a circumferential direction. Each side ring is split in the circumferential direction along at least one cutting line, thereby defining bordering surfaces on first and second bearing cage sections. A plurality of connecting bridges connects the side rings in an axial direction. First and second pairs of mutually-opposing first projections and corresponding first openings are disposed on the side rings along the bordering surfaces of the first and second bearing cage sections and fix the bordering surfaces to each other in at least first and second directions that are perpendicular to each other. A pair of a second projection and a corresponding second opening is disposed axially between the first and second pairs of first projections and first openings and fixes the bordering surfaces to each other in a third direction perpendicular to the first and second directions.

    摘要: A cage for separating rollers in a toroidal roller bearing. The cage comprises a first and second annular ring, a plurality of elongated axial members interposed between the first and second annular ring to thereby form a number of roller pockets. The cage further presents a portion extending radially inwardly on at least one of the first and second annular ring. The portion further extends in at least a part of the circumference of the at least one first and second annular ring. The radially outer peripheral surface of the annular ring presenting the portion presents axial grooves at least at the circumference having the portion, wherein each axial groove is located at the axial end face of each roller pocket in such a way that a roller can be inserted and pulled out via the axial groove into and out of each roller pocket.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing large diameter tapered roller bearing cages includes beginning with a metal strip, coil or plate of cage blank material and feeding it into a rolling mill. The rolling mill includes a pair of unparallel forming rolls disposed to define a wedge-shaped gap therebetween. As the cage blank material is fed through the wedge-shaped gap, one lateral side of the cage blank material is plastically deformed to reduce its thickness and to elongate its length, while slight or no deformation is introduced into the other lateral side, thus forming the cage blank into an arc shape. A third roll disposed at the exit side of the forming rolls bends the rolled cage blank into a circular conical ring. Adjacent butt ends of the formed conical ring cage blank are aligned and joined together during the assembly process to form the large diameter tapered roller bearing cage.
