Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a connection service is provided based on a software development kit architecture for an end device that operates with an Android operating system. The connection service includes a library that, when called, sets-up a Hypertext Transfer Protocol connection between the end device and a proxy device using a function pointer and a portable operating system interface connect function. The connection service also generates and transmits a Hypertext Transfer Protocol CONNECT message, which includes a Proxy-Authorization header, to the proxy device, which triggers three-way handshaking between the proxy device and a target device, subsequent to an establishment of the connection with the proxy device.

Abstract: Methods and devices provide access to a sponsored data service (SDS) from a mobile device. A method may include generating a play media command that includes a remote media address and an SDS identifier, and converting the remote media address into a local media address. The method may further include requesting media from an internal content server via the local media address, where the internal content server resides within the mobile device. The method may include determining if the requested media is stored on the internal content server, obtaining the requested media from the internal content server upon determining that the requested media is stored within the internal content server, and playing the requested media on a mobile media player.

Abstract: Techniques described herein may be used to enable users to access services protected by two-factor security systems without having to provide additional authentication information (e.g., a portion of the user's social security number, biometric information, etc.). An application server may provide one or more services, such as a social networking service, an online banking service, etc. When a user device attempts to access the service, the user may provide a username and password, to the application server, as the first factor of a two-factor authentication process required to access the service. However, instead of requiring the user to provide additional authentication information (e.g., the second factor), a network authentication server, the application server, and the user device may collaborate to automatically provide the additional authentication information.
