A glass substrate and a method for manufacturing the glass substrate are provided. The glass substrate may include a base glass including SiO2, Al2O3, and Li2O, and nanocrystals having an average diameter in a range from about 5 nm to about 10 nm, thereby exhibiting enhanced surface strength properties while maintaining good transmittance properties. The method may include a step of heat-treating a base glass, thereby providing a glass substrate having enhanced strength properties.

A method of manufacturing a window for a display apparatus according to the present invention includes: providing, on a stage, a substrate including a foldable part bending around a folding axis extending in a first direction, and forming a groove on the foldable part. The forming the groove includes: grinding the foldable part by using a first machining wheel; grinding the foldable part by using a second machining wheel; and machining the foldable part by using a polishing wheel. The groove has at least one radius of curvature. The first machining wheel includes first abrasive grains, and the second machining wheel includes second abrasive grains less in size than the first abrasive grains.

The powder supply portion is placed over the table. The substance supply portion is configured to supply a substance onto the polished surface of the substrate. The injector is configured to inject the powder from the powder supply portion onto the surface of the substrate and the substance from the substance supply portion onto the polished surface of the substrate.
