A method for displaying images so that a lower graphical user interface (GUI) object and an upper GUI object do not overlap each other in a specific area in a screen of an electronic device is provided. The displaying method includes detecting a non-overlapping area in a lower GUI object, determining whether upper GUI objects are displayed to overlap the non-overlapping area, and if the upper GUI objects are displayed to overlap the non-overlapping area at least in part, changing a display configuration of at least one of the GUI objects.

Various embodiments relate to an electronic device and method for providing information. The electronic device receives status information of an external device and then displays a combination of the received status information and stored user information, e.g., phonebook, of the external device. The external device creates or updates the status information thereof and delivers the created or updated status information to the electronic device. The electronic device displays the received status information of the external device on a specific region.

An electronic device includes a wireless communication circuit, a light emitting device, and a control circuit. The wireless communication circuit establishes wireless communication with a first external device. The light emitting device emits light. The control circuit shares information on a location of the electronic device with the first external device. The control circuit also receives a first signal from the first external device via the wireless communication circuit, and, in response to the first signal, the light emitting device emits light according to a selected flashing pattern which indicates at least a part of the location of the electronic device.

Disclosed is a wireless charging technology for portable electronic devices. A wireless charging method of resonance type can enhance the usability of wireless charging and also promote user's satisfaction. The portable electronic device is configured to wirelessly connect with a wireless power supply device, connect with one or more external devices, and transmit a message for requesting a wireless charging process for the external devices to the wireless power supply device.

The method includes the electronic device sequentially receiving an image captured by a camera and determining whether a frame of the received image satisfies a predetermined condition. If the predetermined condition is satisfied, the electronic device recognizes an object in the frame. Then the electronic device tracks the object in the frame through tracking data created based on a feature extracted from the recognized object.
