    摘要: A method for calibrating a proportional solenoid valve used in the propulsion system of a windrower, wherein a programmable control module in connection with a valve and a sensor is programmed as part of an automatic calibration routine for directing test control signals to the valve for causing a predetermined displacement of the hydraulic cylinder, the test control signals having values which vary based on the actual displacement of the hydraulic cylinder as compared with a predetermined value of displacement, and operating the hydraulic cylinder using the test control signal that causes the predetermined displacement of the element. The predetermined displacements correspond to the crack points, or the electrical signal levels at which two ports of interest are just beginning to open to one another from a closed position. Of particular interest are the crack points from the supply pressure port to each of the work ports and from the tank port to each of the work ports.

    摘要: A method of controlling the operation of a loader to encourage the use of an operator restraint mechanism is disclosed wherein a first signal is generated by a seat sensor to indicate the presence of the operator in the operator seat and a second signal is generated by a sensor in the operator restraint mechanism to indicate use of the mechanism. The hydraulic system will not be enabled unless the second signal is generated immediately subsequent to the generation of the first signal. Unless the first and second signals are generated in the proper sequence, the starting of the engine will also be disabled. The generation of first and second inverse signals, indicating the lack of the presence of the operator in the seat and the disengagement of the operator restraint mechanism, respectively, will disable the loader hydraulic system. A delay is provided to permit the operator to vacate the seat for a short period of time without having to resequence the generation of the first and second signals to enable the loader hydraulic system.

    摘要: In one embodiment, an operator control panel includes an enclosure in which a liquid crystal display and a pair of lamps are disposed. A first reflective surface is located inside the enclosure, and a second reflective surface is located outside the enclosure. The lamps are positioned so that light rays from their filaments are projected rearwardly onto the first reflective surface and then forwardly onto the back of the liquid crystal display while other light rays from the lamp filaments are projected forwardly onto the second reflective surface and then downwardly onto the front of the control panel. In another embodiment of the operator control panel, the lamps are disposed outside the enclosure and the second reflective surface is omitted.

    摘要: A hydrostatic system and method of operation thereof, wherein at least one of a fluid motor and a pump of the system has a displacement which is variable for controlling a speed of operation of the motor, the pump being driven by an engine, and a controller configured for monitoring the speed of operation of the motor and an operating characteristic of the engine and automatically controlling the displacement responsive thereto, wherein if the operating characteristic is indicative of engine performance above a predetermined threshold, the controller will control the displacement for maintaining the speed of operation of the motor at about a predetermined value, and, if the operating characteristic is indicative of engine performance below the threshold, the controller will hold the displacement at a constant value. As a result, the controller can prevent the system from further decreasing the engine performance. And, if the engine performance increases to that or another threshold, the controller will automatically switch back to controlling the displacement for holding the motor speed at the predetermined value, optionally including to incrementally increase the speed to the predetermined value.

    摘要: In an automatic draft control system for positioning a hitch, velocity feedback loop techniques are employed to control the rate of movement of the hitch. When the system is operating in an open loop position control mode, a switch mounted on a tractor fender enables an operator to manually control raising/lowering of the hitch for the purpose of attaching an implement. Hitch position is sensed and a microprocessor calculates the first derivative of the hitch position signal to determine actual hitch velocity. The actual velocity is subtracted from a desired velocity value to obtain a velocity error signal. The error signal is subjected to an integral control algorithm and the integrated value is used to energize raise or lower solenoids controlling a valve which raises or lowers the hitch. When the actual hitch velocity is equal to or greater than the desired hitch velocity, the integrated value is saved. When the next raise/lower sequence is initiated the integrator is reset to the saved value. This eliminates delays in starting hitch motion. The desired velocity value may be derived from the setting of a drop rate potentiometer in which case a drop rate value is added to the integrated error signal with the result being used to modify a hitch movement command that energizes the "lower" solenoid, thereby limiting the hitch drop rate when the system is operating in a closed loop position/draft control mode.

The service override switch is interconnected with the normal operation switch so that both switches cannot be closed at the same time.
