Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods associated with interference aware sounding reference signals are provided. A method for wireless communication includes receiving, at a wireless communication device in communication with a first base station, an interfering signal from a second base station (or others); determining, at the wireless communication device, a spatial direction of the interfering signal; and transmitting, with the wireless communication device, a signal to the first base station based on the spatial direction of the interfering signal. Another method includes receiving, at a first base station, a signal from a wireless communication device, the signal based on a spatial direction of an interfering signal received by the wireless communication device from a second base station (or others); transmitting, with the first base station, a downlink communication to the wireless communication device, the downlink communication beamformed in the spatial direction based on the signal received from the wireless communication device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a mode for processing a transport block from a base station. The UE may receive a transport block from the base station. In some examples, the transport block may include one or more code blocks in a first code block group and one or more code blocks in a second code block group and may decode the one or more code blocks in the first code block group of the transport block. In some examples, the UE may deliver, to the medium access control (MAC) layer of the UE and based on the mode for processing the transport block, the one or more decoded code blocks in the first code block group before completing the decoding of the second code block group.

In some aspects, a user equipment may determine at least one of a downlink path loss value or an uplink path loss value associated with a base station; receive system information, a semi-persistently configured grant via RRC or a dynamic uplink grant via DCI from the base station, wherein the RRC signaling or the dynamic uplink grant identifies a power control value associated with one user or a plurality of users associated with the base station; and determine a transmit power for a data or control transmission based at least in part on at least one of the downlink path loss value or the uplink path loss value and the power control value. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer-program products for performing dynamic bandwidth switching between control signals and data signals of differing bandwidths are disclosed. A mobile device receives a control signal having a first bandwidth. The mobile device receives a data signal having a second bandwidth different from the first bandwidth. The control signal and the data signal are received over a single carrier frequency. The data signal is transmitted after the control signal such that the data signal and control signal are separated by a time interval. The time interval is based on a switching latency of the mobile device.

Abstract: Techniques for centralized control of peer-to-peer (P2P) communication and centralized control of femto cell operation are described. For centralized control of P2P communication, a designated network entity (e.g., a base station) may control P2P communication of stations (e.g., UEs) located within its coverage area. The designated network entity may identify a UE located within coverage of a femto cell but unable to access the femto cell due to restricted association. The designated network entity may deactivate the femto cell to allow the UE to communicate with another cell.

In an aspect, an apparatus transmits a request to a first reference node to perform a first round-trip-time (RTT) procedure with a second reference node, determines a first distance between the first reference node and the second reference node based on the RTT procedure, determines relative locations of the first and second reference nodes with respect to each other, and determines absolute locations of the first and second reference nodes from their relative locations based on at least one of the first and second reference nodes having a known absolute location and at least one known angle-of-arrival (AoA) or angle-of-departure (AoD) of at least one reference signal.

Abstract: Systems and methods facilitating feedback of robust channel state information (CSI), such as to provide full CSI feedback or otherwise providing CSI feedback, are described. CSI encoders and/or decoders used by network nodes may implement channel compression/reconstruction based upon neural-network (NN) training of collected channels. A structured payload having an interpretable payload portion and an uninterpretable payload portion may utilized with respect to CSI feedback. The channel compression provided according to some aspects of the disclosure supports feedback of robust CSI, in some instances including full CSI, as determined by a particular network node. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may perform a measurement operation to attain multiple measurements to report to a base station. The measurements may correspond to a first number of bits if reported. The UE may compress the measurements using an encoder neural network (NN) to obtain an encoder output indicating the measurements. This encoder output may include a second number of bits that is less than the first number of bits. The UE may report the encoder output to the base station in this compressed form. At the base station, the encoder output may be decompressed according to a decoder NN. Once the base station decompresses the encoder output, the UE and base station may communicate according to the measurements determined from the decompression. In some cases, the base station may perform load redistribution based on the measurements.
