Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a reference signal or channel conveying a paging indicator. The UE may determine, based on the paging indicator, whether to monitor a paging control channel including a scheduling grant for a paging shared channel communication. The UE may estimate time or frequency information for receiving the paging control channel based at least in part on a result of the determining, and receiving the paging control channel containing based at least in part on the result of the determining and the estimated time or frequency information, or skipping monitoring the paging control channel based at least in part on the result of the determining. Abstract: Wireless communication devices, systems, and methods related to mechanisms to implement improved interference tracking over time. A BS may transmit information to a UE that allows the UE to quantize channel measurements into interference states. The UE may transmit an interference change report as triggered by an event, such as an interference metric exceeding a threshold after quantizing into the interference states. This enables the system to capture and respond to abrupt changes. Further, the interference change report may include historic interference information. The UE may include statistics based on the historic interference information. The UE may further be triggered to transmit an interference change report in response to a BS requesting it, or in response to a configured period of time elapsing. The UE may further include MCS information predicted for one or more future time periods based on historic information, which the BS may use in scheduling.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating serving aperiodic traffic over sidelink using resource adaptation of periodic resource reservations are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication at a first device includes reserving periodic resources for sidelink transmission. The example method also includes modifying the reserved periodic resources within a period based on a traffic load for the period. The example method also includes transmitting sidelink communication in the period based on the modified periodic resources. Another example method of wireless communication at a wireless device includes receiving a periodic resource reservation for sidelink transmission. The example method also includes receiving a modification of the periodic resource reservation for a period. Further, the example method includes transmitting or receiving sidelink communication in the period based on a modified periodic resource.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to random access procedures. In one example, a UE initiates a random access procedure with a base station, and receives a random access response (RAR) message from the base station in response to the initiating of the random access procedure. The UE further determines a redundancy version (RV) pattern comprising a sequence of a plurality of RVs. The UE also transmits an uplink (UL) communication to the base station as part of the random access procedure. The UL communication comprises a plurality of repetitions of a UL message, each repetition being an iteration of the UL message that is configured by applying a respective RV of the plurality of RVs to the UL message based on the sequence. The UE further receives a downlink message from the base station based on the UL message. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: The disclosure relates in some aspects to an energy-aware architecture that supports a low power scheduling mode. For example, a media access control (MAC) architecture for a base station (e.g., an enhanced Node B) and associated access terminals (e.g., UEs) can take the power needs of the access terminals into account when scheduling the access terminals. In some aspects, an access terminal may support a particular frame structure for a low power mode. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a configuration for identifying availability and reliability of the availability for resources of a sidelink resource pool based on a plurality of signal quality thresholds. The UE may indicate, for each resource of a set of resources of the sidelink resource pool and based on the configuration, an indication of availability with respect to a first signal quality threshold and an indication of reliability of the availability with respect to a second signal quality threshold. The UE may select one or more resources of the sidelink resource pool based on the indication of availability and the indication of reliability of the availability for reach resource of the set of resources.
