Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure propose a solution for multi-interval DRX. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a DRX method is introduced to use multiple intervals synchronized with the satellites' coverage timing. The DRX according to embodiments of the present disclosure allows the terminal device to wake up according to a set of pre-determined intervals determined by the network. The network determines the wake-up intervals based on the information on the satellite orbits (ephemeris) and the UE device information. In this way, the energy at the terminal device has been saved, thereby maximizing the battery life of the terminal device. Moreover, it also avoids the terminal device from unnecessary activation.

Abstract: Various example embodiments relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable media for alignment between user equipment and network. An example terminal device may be configured to receive, from a network device serving the terminal device, a configuration for discontinuous transmission defining an active period and a non-active period of a cell associated with the network device; receive, from the network device, a first indication indicating that the configuration for the discontinuous transmission is activated; provide a first start offset and a secondary start offset, wherein the first start offset shall be used when the discontinuous transmission is deactivated and the secondary start offset shall be used for the activated configuration for the discontinuous transmission; and select the first start offset or the secondary start offset for connected discontinuous reception of the terminal device during the activated discontinuous transmission of the cell.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices, apparatuses, and computer readable medium of enhancements on uplink transmission. The method comprises: transmitting, to a second device, a first group of transmission repetitions based on first uplink synchronization information: prior to transmitting a second group of transmission repetitions, determining second uplink synchronization information based on system broadcast information for deriving transmission compensation in at least one of time domain and frequency domain; and transmitting, to the second device and based on the second uplink synchronization information, the second group of transmission repetitions. The method helps guarantee the effective receipt of uplink repetitions with compensation jump in time or frequency domain or update due to changing of uplink synchronization information. In addition, the network knows how to combine or select repetitions for best performance when the UE automatically adjusts the UL compensation in time or frequency domain during the repetitions.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided. In the context of a method, the method receives, from a network node, a message indicating a plurality of physical random access channel configurations and at least one relative location threshold. The message determines, based on comparing a relative location of the user equipment to the relative location threshold, a selected physical random access channel configuration out of the plurality of physical random access channel configurations. The method performs a random access procedure based on the selected physical random access channel configuration.

Abstract: Wake-up signal beacon arrangement for wake-up signal coverage detection is provided. A method for wake-up signal beacon arrangement for wake-up signal coverage detection may include receiving at least one configuration for a first wake-up signal beacon and a second wake-up signal beacon. A power or energy of the second wake-up signal beacon may be lower than a power or energy of the first wake-up signal beacon. The method may also include monitoring a current cell for wake-up signal beacons during a wake-up signal mode using the received at least one configuration, and modifying the monitoring of the current cell based on a detection metric. The detection metric may be determined based on at least the second wake-up signal beacon.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure propose a solution for availability of system broadcasted information such as GNSS information which can be used for deriving time and/or frequency domain compensation. According to embodiments of this present disclosure, a validity timer for system broadcasted information is introduced in both UE and network to guarantee the system broadcasted information availability status is synchronized in two nodes, and the system broadcasted information is valid to pre-compensate in time and/or frequency domain when the timer is running. In this way, the UE can be scheduled with correct timing and frequency estimation in UL transmission.

Abstract: Various example embodiments relate to a solution for modifying mobility events by making them depend on information which captures a moving cell direction. An apparatus may obtain location information associated with at least one moving neighboring cell. The apparatus may determine, based on the location information, a distance change associated with the at least one moving neighboring cell with respect to a user node location. The apparatus may determine an offset for the at least one moving neighboring cell based on the distance change associated with the at least one moving neighboring cell. The apparatus may apply the offset associated with the at least one moving neighboring cell in a mobility event associated with the at least one moving neighboring cell. Apparatuses, methods, and computer programs are disclosed.
