    Abstract: A radio access node such as a master eNB determines that a UE can support operation on a given radio band combination comprising a first radio band operating with a first RAT such as E-UTRA and a second radio band operating with a second RAT such as 5G. The node uses a performance capability of the UE to obtain at least a second configuration for the second radio band operating with the second RAT, then configures the UE with the interworking configuration that comprising a first configuration to operate on the first band with the first RAT and a second configuration to operate on the second band with the second RAT. The node may determines that the UE can support such operation from a UE message identifying the band combination and carrying an indicator of the performance capability of the UE on at least the second RAT.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for switching flow separation in dual connectivity. In some example embodiments, there may be provided a method that includes suspending, at the user equipment, at least one bearer and corresponding quality of service filter, when an access node is added as a secondary base station providing dual connectivity to the user equipment; switching, by the user equipment and in response to the added secondary base station, one or more packets to at least a secondary bearer at the added secondary base station; and reverting, by the user equipment, to the suspended at least one bearer and corresponding quality of service filter, when the added secondary base station is released as a connection at the user equipment. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also described.

    Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from appropriate sharing of resources amongst multiple nodes. For example, certain wireless communication systems may benefit from using a single measurement gap for master node and secondary node measurements in a multi-radio-access-technology dual connectivity scenario, or similar scenarios. A method can include determining, by a first network node, that a gap pattern is existing in a second network node. The method can also include enquiring, by the first network node to the second network node, whether the gap pattern can be used for a new measurement. The method can further include configuring, by the first network node, a user equipment to perform the new measurement in the gap pattern, based on a response from the second network node to the enquiring.
