摘要: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for extended paging messages. One User Equipment (“UE”) apparatus in a mobile communication network includes a processor and a transceiver that sends a message to a network node, with the message indicating that the UE apparatus supports paging extensions. The transceiver receives a confirmation message from the network node, with the confirmation message notifying the UE apparatus to expect paging extensions. The transceiver receives paging Downlink Control Information (“DCI”) with a cyclic redundancy check (“CRC”) scrambled by a Paging Radio Network Temporary Identifier (“P-RNTI”), where the paging DCI schedules a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (“PDSCH”) transmission. The transceiver receives a paging message in the PDSCH transmission. The processor identifies a paging extension for the UE in the paging DCI and/or the paging message.

摘要: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for improved suspension of a data connection. One apparatus in a mobile communication network includes a processor and a network interface that receives a notification message from a RNF (e.g., gNB, eNB), said message comprising an indication of an unavailability of radio resources corresponding to a first data connection that uses a first network slice. The processor determines that UP resources of the first data connection are to be suspended and controls the network interface to send a first request message to the RNF, said message comprising an indication to release UP resources corresponding to the first data connection and further comprising an indication to monitor and report an availability of the unavailable radio resources.

摘要: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for setting up multiple user plane (“UP”) security contexts. One apparatus includes a transceiver and a processor that derives distinct UP integrity and ciphering keys for a selected central unit user plane (“CU-UP”) node in the RAN, said derivation using a key derivation function. The processor assigns a UP Security Indicator to uniquely identify the derived distinct UP integrity and ciphering keys and the transceiver sends a setup request to the selected CU-UP node, said setup request containing the UP Security Indicator and the distinct UP integrity and ciphering keys. The transceiver receives a setup response from the selected CU-UP node and the processor activates distinct UP security at a UE.
