Abstract:
A method of processing a broadcast signal including an interactive broadcast service at a transmitter is disclosed. The method comprises generating an parameter table containing metadata about applications and interactive broadcast events targeted to the applications, dividing the parameter table into a plurality of parameter blocks, inserting each of the parameter blocks into each of a plurality of parameter table sections, generating a trigger which is a signaling element to identify signaling and establish timing of playout of the interactive broadcast events, inserting the trigger into a closed caption channel of the broadcast signal, transmitting the broadcast signal including the closed caption channel and a specific channel carrying the plurality of parameter table sections, wherein the trigger includes location information specifying a location of the parameter table in the broadcast signal.
Abstract:
A method of processing a non-real time service of a broadcast receiver, which receives and processes a service being transmitted in non-real time, and a broadcast receiver are disclosed. Herein, the method of processing a non-real time service of a broadcast receiver includes receiving a signaling information table including additional information on contents configuring a non-real time service and a content identifier for each content, acquiring the additional information on contents and the content identifier for each content from the signaling information table, storing contents being downloaded through a FLUTE or an internet in a storage medium, based upon the additional information on contents and the content identifier for each content, and displaying a list of recordings including the contents stored in the storage medium, wherein a list of recordings screen displaying the list of recordings includes at least one of a content name, a channel name, a date of recording, and a content size.
Abstract:
According to the invention, a broadcast receiver receives a packetized stream. The broadcast receiver extracts display time information from a header of the packetized stream, and extracts trigger information including a target object identifier from a payload of the packetized stream. The broadcast receiver recognizes the type of the trigger information. If the trigger information is of the preparation trigger type, the broadcast receiver acquires information on the location of the file which belongs to the target object identifier. The broadcast receiver downloads the file which belongs to the target object identifier from the time corresponding to the extracted display time information via said acquired information on the location of the
Abstract:
Provided is a broadcast service receiving method of a broadcast receiving device. The method includes: receiving an video stream among a content transmitted as a broadcast service; generating a request message for at least one of signalling information on the broadcast service and signalling information on an adjunct service of the broadcast service on the basis of part of the received video stream; transmitting the generated request message to a server through an internet network; receiving a response message corresponding to the request message from the server; obtaining at least one of the broadcast service corresponding to the video stream and the adjunct service of the broadcast service on the basis of the received response message; and providing the obtained broadcast service and adjunct service, wherein the request message comprises first query information for specifying a request time interval and second query information for specifying at least one signalling table to be requested.
Abstract:
A method of processing an interactive service and an apparatus thereof are disclosed. The present invention includes generating an application parameter table which includes information about at least one of applications, wherein the application parameter table includes a first identifier and a second identifier, wherein the first identifier identifies a interactive programming segment which application parameter table pertains to, and wherein the second identifier identifies an application within the scope of application parameter table; generating an activation message file that indicates at least one of activation times of the applications, wherein the activation message file includes a third identifier and activation messages, wherein the third identifier matches the first identifier of application parameter table which contains the applications, wherein the activation message includes a fourth identifier and a start time information, wherein the fourth identifier matches the second identifier of the application in the application parameter table, and wherein the start time information indicates the start time for an event targeted to the application relative to segment time; generating a multi-part message with the application parameter table as the first part and the activation message file as the second part; and transmitting the multi-part message to receiver via HTTP.
Abstract:
A broadcast receiver processing an interactive service related to a broadcast program according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a tuner configured to receive a trigger information including an information on operation timing of a TDO (triggered declarative object), wherein the trigger information includes at least one of a first URL information indicating a position of a signaling server configured to provide a TDO parameter table, a first trigger identification information identifying a trigger included in the TDO, a first time information setting a reference time for the trigger, and a second time information setting operation time of the trigger, a first network interface configured to access the signaling server using the first URL information and configured to receive a TDO parameter table signaling metadata information on at least one TDO in a specific segment from the signaling server, wherein the TDO parameter table includes a second URL information indicating a position of a content server configured to provide at least one file included in the TDO and a second identification information identifying a trigger included in the TDO, a second network interface configured to access the content server using the second URL information and configured to receive at least one file included in the TDO, a widget engine configured to operate the trigger, and a video processor configured to generate a video image including a TDO by the trigger operation and a broadcast program.
