摘要:
A linear slide roller bearing unit has an elongated track shaft having left and right ridges projected laterally from both sides thereof and extending along the length thereof, each ridge being provided at each of its sides with loaded roller surfaces directed upwardly and obliquely downwardly and extending along the length of the ridge. The bearing unit further has a bearing block mounted on the track shaft for movement along the length of the track shaft. The bearing block has a substantially inversed U-shaped cross-section constituted by an upper horizontal flat portion and skirts suspended from both sides of the horizontal flat portion. The horizontal flat portion is provided in its upper and lower sides with pairs of non-loaded roller grooves and loaded roller grooves extending along the length of the bearing block. The non-loaded grooves are connected to the loaded grooves through turning grooves. The skirt have slanted lower end surfaces directed inwardly and downwardly, and are provided at their mid portions with guide ridges extending along the length of the bearing block. The slanted end surfaces are provided at one sides of the guide ridges with loaded rolling surfaces opposing to the obliquely downwardly directed loaded roller rolling surfaces on the track shaft and at the other sides of the guide ridge with non-loaded roller rolling surfaces.

A roller bearing for a linear motion includes a bearing body having its opposing side surfaces respectively formed with a loaded roller rolling passage and a non-loaded roller rolling passage which extend in the longitudinal direction of the bearing body. A pair of end caps are respectively secured to both longitudinal ends of the bearing body. Each of the end caps has a roller-turning passage which connects the loaded and non-loaded roller rolling passages. The roller bearing further includes a multiplicity of rollers disposed within the loaded and non-loaded roller rolling passages. The loaded roller rolling passage is constituted by two or more parallel loaded roller rolling grooves each having a depth smaller than the diameter of the rollers. The non-loaded roller rolling passage is constituted by two or more parallel non-loaded roller rolling grooves each having a depth larger than the diameter of the rollers. Further, a load bearing portion is formed on the bearing body between the adjacent non-loaded roller rolling grooves. The load bearing portion has its surface made substantially flush with the surface of the bearing body at the side at which the non-loaded roller rolling grooves are formed.

The ball spline is capable of making linear, axial reciprocating movements and torque-transmitting rotational movements separately or simultaneously. Especially, the outer cylinder of the spline bearing is provided on a substantially intermediate poriton of an outer surface thereof with a circumferential member used to combine the spline bearing with a third member, such as a housing, or transmit and receive power to and from a third member.

A construction for adjusting the clearance between the sliding block and the track shaft of a linear slide bearing, so as to adequately preload the load-carrying balls of the bearing while smoothing the running of the balls when the balls roll into and out of the loaded ball passages of the bearing. The construction for adjusting the clearance comprises: a pair of mounting surfaces formed on the top of the horizontal portion of the sliding block above the sleeve portions and extending longitudinally of the sliding block; a carrier mounted on the mounting surfaces and fastened by a plurality of fastening bolts such that a gap is left between the upper surface of the central portion of the horizontal portion of the sliding block and the opposing lower surface of the carrier; and at least one clearance adjusting bolt extending through the carrier and acting on the mid-portion of the horizontal portion of the sliding block between the mounting surfaces; whereby the horizontal portion of the sliding block is elastically deflected as the clearance adjusting bolt is tightened, so that the clearance between the inner surface of each sleeve portion of the sliding block and the opposing surface of the track shaft is adjusted as a result of the elastic deflection of the horizontal portion.

A linear slide roller bearing unit having a pair of track shafts being constituted by a block member with a substantially triangular cross-section having loaded roller rolling surfaces formed on both side surface portions of a ridge orthogonally projecting from the center of an outer inclined surface portion thereof. A movable table of substantially U-shaped cross-section being provided with a pair of bearing bodies of substantially triangular cross-section which are screwed to corresponding recesses in the movable table, each bearing body having a pair of guide ridges each having one side surface defined as a loaded roller rolling surface confronting the corresponding loaded roller rolling surface of the associated track shaft and the other side surface defined as a non-loaded roller rolling surface. Barrel-shaped or cylindrical rollers recirculate along the rolling surfaces of the bearing bodies and contact the loaded roller rolling surfaces on the track shafts. A roller retainer is attached to each of the guide ridges so as to face the corresponding inner inclined surface portion of the associated bearing body and is adapted to guide the rollers so that they can recirculate through the space defined between the roller retainer and inner inclined surface portion. The rollers in the state of serving as loaded rollers are brought into the contact with the loaded roller rolling surfaces on the track shafts at a contact angle of about 45 degrees.

The ball screw assembly disclosed makes use of a shaft consisting of two parts, one of them being formed as a spline and the other one containng at least two screws spaced from one another at a predetermined distance, wherein the respective screws having a different pitch are in screw engagement with a corresponding ball screw nut and the ball spline unit is fitted onto the spline. Actually, these two screws are in engagement with corresponding stationary and movable ball screw nuts. The stationary nut being held in a housing, while said movable ball screw nuts is adapted to move forward or backward by way of rotation of the shaft. The feed is controlled by way of mechanical or electromagnetic actuation so that quick feed, rough feed, slow feed or exact feed is ensured by the single shaft.

An improved linear bearing unit is disclosed which has no reduction in operative performance irrespective of elimination of a conventional retainer. The bearing case of the linear bearing unit contains a plurality of non-loading ball holes and semi-circular deep track grooves whereby an increased contact surface is achieved between the loading balls and track grooves. The upper track grooves involve a right angle therebetween relative to the center of the bearing unit, causing no edge load (referred to as critical load at edge portion) to occur. Further, prestress (or preload) may be applied to loading balls in some of four track grooves.According to another aspect of the invention an outer sleeve is fitted into the bearing case, which contains four track grooves on the inner wall thereof. Side covers (or return plates) firmly secured to both end faces of the bearing case contain annular grooves corresponding to annular projections on both the end faces of the outer sleeve, U-shaped concave portions in alignment with four track grooves thereon which serve for reversing the movement of the loading balls and tongue portions at the innermost end of the side covers.
