Provided is a stereophonic sound reproducing apparatus that applies a multi-rendering scheme to a channel sound signal and an object sound signal to enhance a stereophonic effect. A stereophonic sound reproducing method performed by the stereophonic sound reproducing apparatus may include receiving a channel sound signal based on a channel, an object sound signal based on an object, and metadata, and reproducing the channel sound signal based on a preset rendering scheme and reproducing, based on the metadata including a rendering scheme determined using the object sound signal, each object sound signal using the determined rendering scheme.

Methods and apparatuses for hiding and extracting data based on a pilot code sequence are provided. A data hiding method may include converting an input audio signal to a frequency domain, distorting phase information of the audio signal converted to the frequency domain based on a pilot code sequence representing data to be hidden, and converting the audio signal with the distorted phase information to a time domain and transmitting the audio signal converted to the time domain. The pilot code sequence may be a set of phase values corresponding to a bit value “0” or “1” of data.

The present invention relates to a system for transmitting and receiving audio, particularly, to a method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving of object-based audio contents, which packetizes audio objects having the same characteristic. To achieve the above, the present invention includes filtering a plurality of ESs according to common information, adding a packet header to the respective filtered ESs and generate ES packets, aggregating all the generated ES packets and then adding a multi-object packet header to the aggregated ES packets to generate an object packet, and multiplexing the generated object packet, packetizing the multiplexed object packet according to a transmitting media and transmitting the packetized object packet.

The apparatus may include an image preprocessing unit to search for a matching point between images captured by a plurality of cameras, and to extract, as image information, at least one of a depth value, a texture value and object division information from each of the captured images, an image information structuring unit to structure 3D data to use the extracted image information to generate a realistic image, a 3D data format storage unit to store format information of the structured 3D data in a database (DB), realistic image generating unit to generate a realistic panoramic image using the stored format information of the 3D data, and a realistic image rendering unit to perform rendering on the generated realistic panoramic image.

The apparatus for immersive spatial audio modeling and rendering disclosed herein may model a spatial audio scene, generate and transmit parameters necessary for spatial audio rendering, and generate various spatial audio effects using the spatial audio parameters, to provide an immersive three-dimensional (3D) audio source coinciding with visual experience in a virtual reality space in response to free changes in the position and direction of a remote user in the space.

A method and system for processing an obstacle effect in a virtual acoustic space are disclosed. The method includes receiving a parameter for an obstacle candidate plane extracted from spatial information, determining, in response to the parameter, whether the obstacle candidate plane is an obstacle related to a path between a position of a virtual sound source and a position of a user, and applying a sound effect according to the obstacle to an audio signal when the obstacle candidate plane is the obstacle. The obstacle candidate plane is a plane of an object that may become the obstacle in a sound propagation path between the virtual sound source and the user.
