Abstract: An example method for sharing an application in an application store occurs at a mobile device in communication with a display device. The method includes, displaying, at the display device, an application store user interface for a particular application where the user interface includes an affordance for sharing the particular application. The method also includes, receiving an input corresponding to the affordance, and in response to receiving the input, displaying a sharing user interface that includes one or more options for sharing the particular application with another user. The method further includes, receiving an instruction to share the particular application with the other user, and in response to receiving the instruction, sending a link to the particular application in an application store to the other user.

Abstract: A method to share map information between an electronic device and other nearby devices using peer-to-peer communication is provided. The method receives identification of different map items such as a route, points of interest, search results, a current map view and sends to a selected nearby device. The method provides different options to select the map items to share. The particular map information to share in some embodiments depends on what is currently displayed and/or selected on the map. When there are several items that can be shared and there is not a clear indication for what the user intends to share, an action list is shown to allow the user to select the information to share. Once a map item to share is selected, the method displays a share list to display a list of nearby devices. The method sends the shared information to selected devices.

Abstract: An electronic device communicates with a display, an input device, and a wearable audio output device. The device displays a user interface with dynamic visual representations of participants in a communication session. Outputting, via the wearable audio output device, audio from the plurality of participants in the communication session. The audio is adjusted to maintain simulated spatial locations of participants relative to a frame of reference of the communication session, independently of a position of the wearable audio output device relative to the frame of reference. The simulated spatial locations correspond to the locations of the dynamic visual representations. Receiving an input selecting one of the dynamic visual representations. In response, displaying the dynamic visual representations at locations different from their initial locations, and outputting audio from the participants to position their audio at a different simulated spatial locations, relative to the frame of reference.

In accordance with one aspect, when a digital asset is acquired form an online store via an electronic device associated with a user, the digital asset can be arranged for delivery to a number of other of electronic devices also associated with the user. It will be appreciated that the digital asset can be delivered and acquired without requiring explicit user input or instruction in accordance with another aspect. Other aspects of the techniques and systems include customization of configuration and user interfaces that are provided to facilitate acquisition of digital assets in a more efficient manner.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a unique (or quasi unique) identifier can be received by an application store, or other on-line store, and the store can create a signed receipt that includes data desired from the unique identifier. This signed receipt is then transmitted to a device that is running the application obtained from the on-line store and the device can verify the receipt by deriving the unique (or quasi-unique) identifier from the signed receipt and comparing the derived identifier with the device identifier stored on the device, or the vendor identifier assigned to the application vendor.
