    Abstract: Systems and methods are described for receiving a first request to access a media asset; identifying a first portion of the media asset to be provided for display based on the first request, wherein the first portion of the media asset corresponds to a first timepoint of the media asset; identifying a second portion of the media asset corresponding to a second timepoint of the media asset, wherein the second timepoint occurs prior to the first timepoint of the media asset; receiving a second request to cause simultaneous display of the first portion of the media asset corresponding to the first timepoint and the second portion of the media asset corresponding to the second timepoint; and in response to receiving the second request, providing for simultaneous display the first portion of the media asset and the second portion of the media asset.

    Abstract: A location is mapped to identify a number of zones, and content items are identified for assignment to the zones. Selection of a zone for each content item may be received from the user, or content items may be assigned to zones automatically as described above. Identifiers of each content item and indicators of the selected zone for each content item are then stored as an AR display configuration associated with the location. In response to detecting that the AR display device is being used at the location, the AR display configuration is retrieved and resolved on the AR display device.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for generating a summary for a piece of content using a thumbnail container. This may be accomplished by a system receiving a thumbnail container related to a piece of content. The system may also receive user information, a device characteristic, and/or content information related to the piece of content and use the received data to select a machine learning model. The selected machine learning model can identify one or more thumbnails of the thumbnail container as a thumbnail of interest to a user. The system can then generate a summary of the piece of content based on the thumbnail identified by the machine learning model and display the generated summary for the user.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for obtaining metrics relating to an extended reality experience and using the obtained metrics to perform remedial actions, such as managing user motion sickness, determining user performance relating to a designed game difficulty, and performing home automation are disclosed. The methods include determining a starting and ending checkpoint in an extended reality experience. Data from a plurality of users as they navigate between the determined checkpoints is obtained and used to determine a metric, such as a median, average, or other representative data. The current user's navigation through the same checkpoints is monitored and compared with the metric. The results from the comparison are used to enhance extended reality experience, which includes customizing the experience for motion sickness, game difficulty level, and home automation.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are described herein for generating, for presentation at a particular computing device, a display of a live program and determining that the display of the live program at the particular computing device is delayed in relation to a live program stream of the live program. Interactive content related to a particular event that is to occur in the live program stream of the live program may be received, the interactive content enabling selection of a predicted outcome of the particular event. Prior to presentation of the particular event in the display of the live program at the particular computing device, the interactive content may be generated for presentation at the particular computing device, and a selection of the predicted outcome is received. Based on determining an outcome of the particular event, an indication of whether the predicted outcome was correct may be generated for presentation.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are presented herein for enabling a vehicle, configured to support autonomous vehicle operation, to change a location of the vehicle based on the detection of an impending impact with the vehicle. A starting location of the vehicle is determined while the vehicle is parked, unoccupied, and comprises an inactive powertrain. In response to determining a watchdog state is enabled, data corresponding to the location is accessed from within a threshold distance of the vehicle. An identifier and a trajectory of an object is determined. In response to determining that the trajectory corresponds to an impact path with the vehicle, an evasive route for the vehicle is determined that terminates at a safe location not subjected to the impending impact. An instruction to activate the vehicle powertrain and an autonomous mode of the vehicle to execute the identified evasive route is transmitted for the vehicle to process.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for summarizing captions, configuring playback speed, and rewriting the caption file for a media asset are disclosed. The system determines whether to display the original captions or a summarized version of the captions, which are based on user's language proficiency level, reading pace, and historical data, and can be generated either on-demand or automatically when rewinds and pauses are detected. The caption file which includes the original captions can be rewritten. The system determines whether to stream a caption or a rewritten file to a media device based on user or system selections. In the absence of a caption file, or when the caption file cannot be summarized, the playback speed of the media asset is slowed down to provide additional reading time to the user.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for routing audio and/or video streams and remote rendered video layout for conference side group conversations and voice assistant providers are disclosed. During a main conference comprising a plurality of users, a request is received to create a side group conversation comprising a subgroup of the plurality of users. A voice assistant provider is invited to the side group conversation. Users in the subgroup may be granted different permissions to query or receive responses from the voice assistant. Incoming audio and video streams from each user are demultiplexed and decoded. Decoded audio streams are processed by an appropriate audio mixer of the group and voice assistant. Decoded video streams are processed and rendered based on a video grouping render policies. Processed audio streams for each group and voice assistant and/or rendered videos are encoded and routed to each user through their dedicated multiplexer.
