    摘要: A moving image generating apparatus is provided, that efficiently generates a moving image representing transition of still images. The moving image generating apparatus that generates a moving image in which a plurality of still images are transferred includes: a transition data acquiring section that acquires transition data indicating how are the plurality of still images transferred in the moving image; and a moving image generating section that generates a plurality of moving image components compressed into each partial region from the plurality of still images based on the transition data acquired by the transition data acquiring section and that generates a compressed moving image including the plurality of generated moving image components. The moving image generating section generates a plurality of moving image components from the plurality of still images by defining a partial region included in the moving image component as the minimum unit of transition of still images in the moving image and generates a compressed moving image including the plurality of generated moving image components. The moving image generating section generates the plurality of continuous moving image components in which the transition region is transferred by the width for an integer number of partial regions in the moving image.

    摘要: In the case where images photographed by a digital camera or the like are recorded in a recording medium at a predetermined resolution or compression rate upon photographing and the data representing the image are re-recorded therein after being read and resolution-converted or re-compressed, a target of re-recording can be specified by a simple operation and damage due an erroneous input can be minimized. A function is provided for setting accompanying information such as necessity of printing an image when the image is being replayed in a replay mode, for example. The information having been set is described in a tag of an image file and recorded together with the image. When a user shifts a mode to a re-recording execution mode, necessity of re-recording is judged based on the stored information having been set. A re-recording target image file is then read from a memory card and re-recorded therein after a resolution conversion or compression processing carried out on the image data.

    摘要: In a method and a device for moving a cursor on a display or similar screen to point to one of a plurality of selectable areas displayed on the display, data recorded in a data recording medium is read, and coordinates of the position of the selected area are identified on the basis of the data thus read. In response to a signal by holding an inputting device, a direction in which the inputting device is manipulated is detected and direction data is output. Coordinates of the position of the cursor are updated by replacing them with the coordinates of the position of the selected area located in the direction detected. The image data of the cursor is generated on the basis of the coordinates of the position of the cursor and updated. The image data for displaying is processed to display the image data.
