    Abstract: Systems and methods are described for generating pixel image data, using a lensless camera, based on light that travels through a mask that with pattern masking the lensless camera. The system applies a transformation function to the pixel image data to generate frequency domain image data. The system inputs the frequency domain image data into a machine learning model, wherein the machine learning model does not have access to data that represents the pattern of the mask. The model is trained using a set of images with the feature that are captured by the flat, lensless camera through the mask. The system processes the frequency domain image data using the machine learning model to determine whether the pixel image data depicts the image feature. The system further performs an action based on determining that the pixel image data depicts the image feature.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for generating metadata for content. Upon detecting a request for a stored media asset from a first device, a server determines that metadata is needed for the media asset based on determining that (a) the server has access to insufficient metadata associated with the media asset and (b) the popularity of the media asset is sufficiently high. The server then assigns at least a time segment of the media asset to the first device for analysis. After assignment, the first device gathers frame analysis and user input data while the user is viewing the media asset, and transmits the gathered data to the server. The server then uses the frame analysis data and the user input data to generate metadata, and makes the generated metadata available to all devices requesting the media asset.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to method and system for supervising a plurality of users of XR devices. A problem arises in that a supervisor hoping to assist a user in operating in an XR environment cannot easily obtain a representation of the XR environment which a particular user amongst the plurality of users is currently perceiving. The disclosure addresses this problem by having each XR device and a supervisory device independently determine the position of an XR device. Each XR device provides replica stream data in association with its position, and the user of the supervisory device selects an XR device by selecting its position. By tallying the position in the supervisor's selection of an XR device with the position associated with each replica stream, the replica stream of the XR device selected by the supervisor can be provided to the supervisory device.

First and second extended reality devices and at least one user device are connected to the virtual environment, each extended reality device providing a user with interactive access to the virtual environment. Input is received from one of the users via the virtual environment.     Abstract: Systems and methods relate to segmenting texture data and depth data of first image data of a first viewpoint into layers; generating respective multiple focal planes (MFPs) for each respective layer; blanking out pixels on the respective MFPs for each respective layer that are occluded by pixels on layers that are closer to a first viewpoint; and generating second image data for a second viewpoint to enable display of the second image data by: shifting and scaling the respective MFPs for each respective layer corresponding to the second viewpoint, wherein layers closer to an origin of the second viewpoint are shifted and scaled more than layers farther from the origin of the second viewpoint; and blanking out pixels on the shifted and scaled respective MFPs for each respective layer that are occluded by pixels on layers that are closer to the second viewpoint.

In some aspects, the interactive media guidance application receives, at a user device, a signature sound sequence.     Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for curating content that follows a narrative structure. A narrative structure comprises narrative portions that have a defined order. Signature analysis of known content that follows the narrative structure is used to train machine learning models for the narrative structure and the narrative portions that make up the narrative structure. Signature analysis of candidate content segments, along with machine learning models for the narrative portions, are used to identify candidate content segments that match the respective narrative portions. A candidate playlist is generated of the identified candidate content segments in the defined order. In one embodiment, the machine learning model for the narrative structure is used to validate the generated playlist.
