Encrypted data is closely associated with a policy package defining privacy policies for the data and metapolicies for their selection. A trusted privacy service enforces the privacy policies. The trusted privacy service is arranged to supply a key to a resource to allow that resource to process data if the trusted privacy service determines from the trusted localization provider certifying the location and other contextual information of the resource that the privacy policy allows processing of the data on that resource in that location.

The substrate transport unit may transport substrate including at least one splice along a transport path. The image forming module may form an image on the substrate. The event sensing module may detect an event and provide an event signal along a signal path in response to the event. The heartbeat generation module may provide a heartbeat signal different than the event signal along the signal path. The signal detection module may determine a presence of the event signal and an absence of the heartbeat signal. The repositioning module may move the image forming module from a first position to a second position in response to a determination of the presence of the event signal.

In example embodiments, upon updating a cache with an object identifier and a corresponding object location, a gateway computing device may transmit an update message using a simple multicast transport protocol to a plurality of other gateway computing devices. In contrast, upon deleting an object from a cache, the gateway computing device may transmit a delete message using a reliable multicast transport protocol to the plurality of other gateway computing devices.
