    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a first message indicating a plurality of measurement configurations, each measurement configuration of the plurality of measurement configurations may include different sets of measurement parameters used for measuring a reference signal (RS) of a cell. The UE may also receive, from the base station, a second message indicating that the UE activate a first measurement configuration, deactivate the first measurement configuration, or switch to the first measurement configuration, where the first measurement configuration is from the plurality of measurement configurations. The UE may determine a measurement reporting scheme based at least in part on the indication to activate, deactivate, or switch to the first measurement configuration.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe synchronizing frequency and/or timing in a wireless communication system. A synchronization channel frequency can be determined as one of a plurality of possible synchronization channel frequencies within a frequency band. A tone of one or more synchronization signals that corresponds to the synchronization channel frequency can be punctured, and the one or more synchronization signals can be transmitted as centered around the synchronization channel frequency.

A network entity may transmit control signaling that indicates a format for group common downlink control information (DCI) associated with tracking reference signal resources. The network entity may transmit the group common DCI that indicates a downlink power control configuration to be applied during transmission of tracking reference signals. A user equipment (UE) may receive the group common DCI in accordance with the format and monitor for tracking reference signals during the tracking reference signal resources in accordance with the downlink power control configurations.
