    Abstract: Generally, the described techniques provide for duplex mode configuration for control information (e.g., duplex mode configuration for communication of downlink control information). For example, duplex modes may be defined (e.g., as full duplex (FD) capable, FD only, half duplex (HD) only, etc.), and such duplex modes may be configured for control resource sets (CORESETs), search space (SS) sets, or both. In some examples, duplex modes configured for a CORESET/SS set may depend on the priority of information conveyed via the CORESET/SS set. For example, a CORESET/SS set for high priority or critical control information may be configured with a HD mode to avoid FD self-interference, while CORESET/SS set for other control information may be configured with a FD mode to improve spectrum efficiency. Techniques for resolving conflicting duplex mode configurations (e.g., when a HD mode is configured for a SS set within a CORESET configured with FD) are also described.

    Abstract: Techniques are described herein for signaling procedures that use a hierarchical mobility, which may be applied when a user equipment (UE) is operating in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state or the RRC idle state. A wireless communication system may be configured with a plurality of areas in which one or more networks are established for communicating certain types of signals. Examples of the areas associated with networks may include a tracking area (TA), a radio access network area code (RAN-AC), a radio access network based notification area (RNA). A synchronization signal or a paging signal may be transmitted using a first set of communication resources in a first area, while the synchronization signal or the paging signal may be transmitted using a second set of communication resources in a second area different than the first set of communication resources.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may operate in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state of a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode. The UE may identify, based at least in part on the UE operating in the RRC inactive state, a single frequency network (SFN) for a notification zone that is configured for the UE, the notification zone comprising a plurality of cells. The UE may receive one or more synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) broadcast by the plurality of cells over the SFN. The UE may perform a channel measurement procedure based at least in part on the one or more SSBs received over the SFN.

A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a first message indicating a plurality of measurement configurations, each measurement configuration of the plurality of measurement configurations may include different sets of measurement parameters used for measuring a reference signal (RS) of a cell. The UE may also receive, from the base station, a second message indicating that the UE activate a first measurement configuration, deactivate the first measurement configuration, or switch to the first measurement configuration, where the first measurement configuration is from the plurality of measurement configurations. The UE may determine a measurement reporting scheme based at least in part on the indication to activate, deactivate, or switch to the first measurement configuration.

A synchronization channel frequency can be determined as one of a plurality of possible synchronization channel frequencies within a frequency band.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A network entity may transmit control signaling that indicates a format for group common downlink control information (DCI) associated with tracking reference signal resources. The network entity may transmit the group common DCI that indicates a downlink power control configuration to be applied during transmission of tracking reference signals. A user equipment (UE) may receive the group common DCI in accordance with the format and monitor for tracking reference signals during the tracking reference signal resources in accordance with the downlink power control configurations.
