Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for cooperative relay in sidelink networks are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication at a first user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a second UE, a groupcast signal comprising a resource allocation assigned to a plurality of sidelink UEs including the first UE. The example method also includes communicating, with a remote apparatus on a first resource included in the resource allocation, a first relay signal comprising at least a portion of the groupcast signal, in which the first relay signal corresponds to at least a portion of a second relay signal communicated with the remote apparatus on a second resource included in the resource allocation by at least one other sidelink UE of the plurality of sidelink UEs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may support various extended reality (XR) applications. In some examples of XR applications, features from the real and virtual environments may be overlaid and displayed to a user for consumption via the UE. To avoid visual conflicts, such as misaligning objects from the real and virtual environments, and other visual conflicts, the UE may generate and send pose information to a network (e.g., a server hosting the XR application). The UE may be configured to manage transmission of pose information to the network, which may result in reduced power consumption. For example, the UE may determine a downlink burst occasion for the XR application, generate pose information associated with the UE and the XR application, and transmit the pose information only during the downlink burst occasion.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be receive a grant configuration including multiple set of parameters, and the UE may select a set of parameters from the configured grant based on a channel condition. In some examples, the UE may be configured to signal to a network (e.g., a base station) the selected set of parameters and their corresponding parameter values. For example, the UE may be configured to signal the selected set of parameters over semi-static signaling (e.g., radio resource control (RRC) messaging) or dynamic signaling (e.g., medium access control-control element (MAC-CE) messaging, uplink control information (UCI) messaging, or the like). By configuring the UE with multiple set of parameters, the UE may adapt to changing channel conditions, which may provide higher reliability and lower latency for wireless communications, as well as reduce power consumption for the UE.

Generally, a user equipment (UE) may monitor synchronization signal resources, each synchronization signal resources associated with a beam, and may select a preferred beam based on the monitoring. The UE may transmit an uplink random access message (e.g., message 3 of a four-step random access message, message A of a two-step random access procedure, or a negative acknowledgement (NACK) message requesting retransmission of a random access message) including beam information (e.g., one or more beam indices, channel quality information, or channel state information) to a base station. In response, the base station may transmit a downlink random access message using a different beam (e.g., a new preferred beam). The UE may establish a connection with the base station based on the completed random access procedure.

Generally, a user equipment (UE) may monitor multiple synchronization signal resources, each synchronization signal resource associated with a beam of a set of beams and may determine that multiple candidate beams of the set of beams satisfy a channel quality threshold. The UE may transmit an indication that the multiple candidate beams satisfy the channel quality threshold. For example, the UE may transmit a single random access message on a physical random access channel (PRACH) resource associated with multiple candidate beams, or may transmit multiple random access messages, each one on a different PRACH resource associated with a different candidate beam. The UE may receive an indication of one of the candidate beams from the base station and may establish a connection with the base station using the indicated candidate beam.

Abstract: Peak to average power ratio (PAPR) reduction with respect to signals of component carriers of a carrier aggregation configuration may be provided using preconfigured or fixed PRT location sequences (e.g., fixing the number and location of PRTs). A device transmitting signals of component carriers of a carrier aggregation configuration may perform PRT magnitude and phase optimization processing with respect to PRTs of a PRT location sequence using techniques, such as may use a signal to clipping noise ratio, tone reservation (SCR-TR) algorithm. Various PRT location sequence configurations, such as PRT sideband location sequence configurations, PRT inband location sequence configurations, etc., may be selected to facilitate reduction of PAPR associated with the data tones of one or more carrier aggregation component carriers, such as to satisfy a PAPR threshold. The control signal and the data signal are received over a single carrier frequency. The data signal is transmitted after the control signal such that the data signal and control signal are separated by a time interval. The time interval is based on a switching latency of the mobile device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may report a phase-noise compensation reference signal (PCRS) configuration to a base station to enable per-UE PCRS signaling. For example, a UE may operate in a wireless communications system using carrier frequencies greater than 6 GHz, which may be affected by phase noise. The UE may accordingly determine a PCRS configuration based on a capability to receive signals. The PCRS configuration may include a resource mapping for one or more PCRS, a number of PCRS ports used for PCRS, a multiplexing scheme for one or more PCRS ports, or the UE's phase noise estimation capability. The UE may then transmit a reporting message including the PCRS configuration to a base station. The base station may use the PCRS configuration for PCRS transmissions to the UE.

A current subframe for communication between a scheduling entity and a set of one or more subordinate entities is produced by determining a desired ratio of uplink information to downlink information for the current subframe and configuring the configurable subframe structure with the desired ratio.

Abstract: In a positioning session for a user equipment (UE), one or more base stations may receive and derive positioning measurements from uplink (UL) transmission from the UE that include a physical resource block (PRB) interlaced waveform based on at least one of interlaced physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource blocks, interlaced physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) RBs resource blocks, interlaced sounding reference signal (SRS), interlaced uplink (UL) positioning reference signal (PRS), or a combination thereof. The interlaced waveforms span a greater wavelength than if interlacing were not used, and an enhanced accuracy requirement for the positioning measurements based on the span may be used for the positioning measurements. The UL interlaced PRBs may be used for UL positioning measurements for combined downlink (DL) and UL positioning measurements. The base station may report the positioning measurements along with the channel used and enhanced accuracy requirements to a location server for positioning.
