Abstract: A user equipment may be configured to perform beam failure detection enhancement. In some aspects, the user equipment may receive a beam failure detection reference signal (BFD-RS) from a base station, detect an occurrence of an interference event based on a first measurement of the BFD-RS or a channel event based on a second measurement of the BFD-RS, and update count information based on a detection function and the occurrence. Further, the user equipment may determine that at least one of a first timer for interference events or a second timer for channel events is active, and determine whether to perform a beam failure recovery process based on comparing a total count of the count information to a predefined threshold value.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for application of a repetition factor to uplink (UL) control channels. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, on a downlink (DL) control channel, an indication of a configuration for repetition of a UL control channel scheduled by the DL control channel and another UL control channel, wherein the configuration is applied for repetition of the other UL control channel after a configured time period starting from reception of the DL control channel; and transmitting the repetition of the UL control channel and the repetition of the other UL control channel in accordance with the configuration.

Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for providing hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for multiple physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmissions are described. The plurality of downlink data transmissions are monitored across the plurality of slots. At least one HARQ feedback scheme for acknowledging the plurality of downlink data transmissions is determined. HARQ feedback for the plurality of downlink data transmissions is provided in accordance with the at least one HARQ feedback scheme.

Abstract: A base station determines a temporal filter configuration for a user equipment (UE) and transmits the temporal filter configuration to the UE. The temporal filter configuration indicates whether the UE should apply a temporal filter to channel state information (CSI) measurements to generate CSI values, or identifies which temporal filter to apply. The UE generates CSI values based on the temporal filter configuration and reports the generated CSI values to the base station.

Abstract: In embodiments of systems and methods for managing communication between a wireless device and a base station, a base station may transmit Remaining Minimum System Information (RMSI) Downlink Control Information (DCI) indicating time and frequency resources for RMSI. A wireless device may receive a Channel State Indicator-Reference Signal (CSI-RS) based on the time and frequency resources for RMSI and may select a sub-beam of a beam associated with a synchronization signal block (SSB). The wireless device may send to the base station an indication of the selected sub-beam associated with the SSB in a Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) message. The base station and the wireless device each may then perform an initial access procedure using the selected sub-beam to enable the wireless device to establish a communication link with the base station.
