    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a vapor therapy device for producing intra-uterine tissue effects. The device can include a shaft, including a proximal portion and a distal portion, a fluid-expandable medium, near the distal portion of the shaft, a fluid-delivery conduit, extending between the proximal portion and the distal portion of the shaft, the fluid-delivery conduit comprising an outlet, near the distal portion of the shaft, for delivery of the fluid toward the medium, and an in vivo heat generator, near the distal portion of the shaft, to heat the fluid. A method of treating a patient for menorrhagia with the device can include introducing a medium, in a contracted state, into a patient, delivering a fluid toward the medium to expand the medium in vivo; generating heat in vivo on or near the medium to vaporize the fluid, and exposing a treatment site to the vaporized fluid.

    Abstract: A device including forceps having first and second working arms, a blade, and an arm securing mechanism having an electromagnetic latch. Distal ends of the first and second arms are biased toward each other by a first force when the electromagnetic latch is energized. The device is switchable between a first configuration where the distal ends of the arms are biased away from each other and the blade is proximal to the distal ends of the arms; a second configuration where the distal ends of the arms are biased toward each other by the first force and the blade is proximal to the distal ends of the arms; and a third configuration where the distal ends of the arms are biased toward each other by the first force and the blade is substantially flush with or extends beyond the distal ends of the arms.

    Abstract: A tissue removal device, and methods of using the same, are described. An exemplary detachable, handheld tissue removal device comprises a hand piece and a blade assembly removably attachable to the hand piece. The blade assembly includes a rotatable resection member driven to rotate and surgically remove tissue from a target tissue site, and a coupling assembly including a locking member to detachably couple the blade assembly to the hand piece and operatively enable or disable the rotation of the blade assembly relative to the hand piece. The rotation of the blade assembly causes a change in rotating angle of the blade assembly. The coupling assembly can secure the rotating angle of the blade assembly during the tissue resection procedure.

    Abstract: A forceps having at least a first jaw with a longitudinal axis is disclosed. The first jaw can include a body portion, a first flange, a second flange and a cam pin. The first flange can define a first cam slot with a longitudinal extent along the longitudinal axis. The second flange can be spaced from the first flange a distance transverse to the longitudinal axis of the first jaw and can have a second cam slot. The cam pin, with a longitudinal axis, can be moveably secured within the first cam slot and the second cam slot. A diameter of the cam pin can be less than a width between a first longitudinal edge that defines a first side of each of the first cam slot and the second cam slot and a second longitudinal edge that defines a second opposing side of each of the first cam slot and the second cam slot so that the cam pin is moveably received by both the first cam slot and the second cam slot. With the first jaw pivoted to at least a first position, the cam pin and first flange can be configured such that the first longitudinal edge is contacted by the cam pin but the second longitudinal edge is spaced from the cam pin. The cam pin and second flange can be configured such that the first longitudinal edge is spaced from the cam pin but the second longitudinal edge is contacted by the cam pin.
