Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a UE transmits, at a first time during a measurement window for positioning purposes, a first uplink reference signal in accordance with a first timing adjustment parameter, wherein the first time is offset from a downlink frame time of a base station by an amount of the first timing adjustment parameter, determines whether to use a second timing adjustment parameter, transmits, in response to the determination to use the second timing adjustment parameter, at a second time during the measurement window, a second uplink reference signal in accordance with a second timing adjustment parameter, wherein the second time is offset from the downlink frame time of the base station by an amount of the second timing adjustment parameter, and transmits a report indicating that the second timing adjustment parameter has been applied to at least the second uplink reference signal.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for direct transport block (TB) forwarding in relaying operations. A method that may be performed by a relay node includes receiving, from a source node, an indication to directly forward a TB to a destination node, wherein directly forwarding includes transmitting the TB to the destination node through only a Physical (PHY) layer and a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARM) portion of a Media Access Control (MAC) layer in a protocol stack of the relay node and directly forwarding the TB to the destination node based, at least in part, on the indication.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques to determine a position of a user equipment (UE). In an aspect, the UE receives a plurality of positioning reference signals (PRS) from a plurality of cells. The UE determines a plurality of time of arrivals (TOA) of the plurality of PRSs, and prunes the plurality of TOAs based on the plurality of PRSs. The UE then derives a time difference of arrival (TDOA) vector from the pruned TOAs. The TDOA vector includes multiple TOA related measurements of multiple cells. The UE prunes the TOAs such that the cells represented in the TDOA vector are sufficiently geographically dispersed to determine the position of the UE at least in 2D.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit a capability message indicating a parameter configuration for each phase error process of a set of phase error processes of the first UE. The first UE may transmit, to a second UE, a phase error process indicator to indicate that the first UE is using a first phase error process of the set of phase error processes to generate a sidelink transmission in accordance with the parameter configuration for the first phase error process. The second UE may monitor, via a sidelink channel, for the sidelink transmission based on frequency tracking, phase tracking, time tracking, or any combination thereof being performed in accordance with the parameter configuration for the first phase error process. The first UE may transmit, via the sidelink channel, the sidelink transmission to the second UE.

Abstract: Aspects relate to obtaining, at a first scheduled entity, a first priority ranking of first uplink (UL) data scheduled for transmission to a scheduling entity and a first data scheduled for transmission to a second scheduled data, as well as a second priority ranking of second data scheduled for transmission to a third and fourth scheduled entity, respectively. The scheduling uses at least a portion of a sidelink resource reserved for sidelink communication for the transmissions. The scheduling of the transmissions using at least the portion of the sidelink resource are based on the first priority ranking and the second priority ranking. Various transmission cancellation and reception preemptions are transmitted from transmitting scheduled entities to other transmitting or receiving scheduled entities, respectively. Such cancellations and preemptions are based on the priority rankings, prediction of data transmission collisions and prediction of interference at receiving entities.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for determining a position of a user equipment (UE). A differential round-trip-time (RTT) based positioning procedure is proposed to determine the UE position. In this technique, the UE position is determined based on the differences of the RTTs between the UE and a plurality of base stations. The differential RTT based positioning procedure has much looser inter-gNodeB timing synchronization requirements than the OTDOA technique and also has much looser group delay requirements than traditional RTT procedures.
