Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for supporting network transmissions using unicast sidelink communications. A base station (BS) may transmit a set of encoded packets to a number of user equipment (UEs) and receive feedback messages from the UEs that indicate sets of decoded packets. Based on the feedback messages, the BS may transmit an updated set of encoded packets based on a difference between the set of encoded packets and the union of decoded packets. The BS may transmit an instruction to a first UE to transmit a broadcast sidelink communication that includes a set of missed packets that includes one or more decoded packets that were decoded by the first UE but were not decoded by the second UE. The first UE may transmit the broadcast sidelink communication to the second UE.

Abstract: A UE may be configured to detect an occurrence of a beam failure condition for a failed downlink transmission received from a network entity using a first beam. The UE may transmit, over a sidelink to a second UE, a BFR in response to detecting the beam failure condition. The UE may receive, over the sidelink from the second UE or from the network entity, a beam switching instruction to switch from the first beam to a second beam. The UE may receive, from the network entity, a retransmission of the failed downlink transmission using the second beam.

A method performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a first control message, activating a first semi-static scheduling configuration and a second semi-static scheduling configuration for full duplex communication, wherein: the first semi-static scheduling configuration comprises a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) occasion and the second semi-static scheduling configuration comprises a configured grant (CG) occasion. The method may further include receiving a second control message dynamically scheduling a transmission that overwrites a downlink transmission in the SPS occasion or an uplink transmission in the CG occasion and taking one or more actions to communicate at least the transmission that overwrites the downlink transmission in the SPS occasion or the uplink transmission in the CG occasion.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a UE (e.g., an initiator UE) transmits sidelink discovery messages for beam training on a bandwidth associated with DMRS. One or more UEs (e.g., candidate responder UEs) select a beam to pair with a beam associated with one of the sidelink discovery messages, and transmit a sidelink discovery message on the selected beam. In another aspect, a UE (e.g., initiator UE) transmits a sidelink discovery message, which is forwarded to a UE, which may be a lead UE of a sidelink UE group. The lead UE adds the initiator UE to the sidelink UE group, and responds with a sidelink discovery response message and a group indication that at least indicates that the initiator UE now belongs to the sidelink UE group.
