    摘要: A water injection system (WIS) for diesel engines that reduces NOx, PM and CO2 emissions is provided. Water is injected into the combustion air stream before cylinders in a predetermined proportion to fuel. The present invention utilizes a special water purification element, an oscillating pump, an electronic means to control both water flow and the size of water droplets, a means to prevent water from freezing in cold ambient temperatures, a plurality of special sensors to control water flow in response to rapid load variation, and a means for automatically switching between on and off operations.

    摘要: A fuel system that in at least some implementations includes a carburetor having a fluid passage, a solenoid, a valve, a driver circuit and a control circuit. The valve may be moved by the solenoid between an open position permitting fluid flow through the fluid passage and a closed position at least partially inhibiting fluid flow through the fluid passage. The driver circuit and control circuit are communicated with the solenoid to contribute to providing power to the solenoid and controlling actuation of the solenoid. The driver circuit and control circuit provide a first magnitude of power to the solenoid to initially change the solenoid from its closed position to its open position and a second magnitude of power to maintain the solenoid in its open position wherein the second magnitude of power is less than the first magnitude.

The method including initiating a mitigating action based on a fuel rail pressure response, the fuel rail pressure response occurring after an engine shut-down, where the mitigating action includes disabling vehicle operation if fuel rail pressure drops below a threshold value after activation of one of the pumps, the activation occurring before a subsequent engine start, the subsequent engine start occurring after the engine shut-down, and where the mitigating action includes adjusting operation of one of the pumps during the subsequent engine start if fuel rail pressure achieves at least the threshold value after or during the activation.

    摘要: A low fuel shut off for a portable engine-driven welder is disclosed that disables the engine when the fuel level drops below a desired level. The system includes a controller configured to receive the current fuel level signal from a fuel sensor positioned in or near the fuel tank. The controller is connected to a maintenance display that may include a fuel gauge, a visual alarm, and an audible alarm. The controller regulates the fuel supply by actuating a valve and closing the valve when the fuel level drops below the desired level. The low fuel shut off works in conjunction with a visual and/or an audible alarm alerting the operator before and/or after the engine is disabled. The controller is configured to receive data from other engine sensors and can disable the engine if the parameters reach a specified level.
