    摘要: The flexible tiller has a center and two end sections, each including a cutter bar, frame, apron and grooming bar. The two tiller end sections are connected flexibly to the ends of the center section by frame to frame hinges and by cutter to cutter universal joints, so that the end sections can rotate freely about the hinges. The tiller center section is secured to the towing mechanism to oscillate about a central horizontal axis in the direction of travel. The oscillating center section and the two pivotally attached end sections cooperate to enable the tiller to closely conform to and thoroughly groom rolling snow paths without reducing them to flat ones. The rolling paths are enjoyable to ski, and are slower and safer. A controllable hydraulic ram is mounted to act across each hinge, so that the operator may select the degree of bending permitted at each hinge, and may hydraulically lock it into selected position, if desired.

    摘要: A snowmaker mounting structure is described useful for attaching a snowmaking apparatus used at ski resort areas to a ski lift tower. The structure includes a generally horizontally extending boom having one end attached to an upper portion of the ski lift tower and an extending end having a snowmaker attached thereto. Control over the region of ski slopes being covered with artifically produced snow is provided by rotatably mounting the snowmaker to the end of the boom by employing a generally vertically oriented collar through which a central tubular post is inserted and rotatable therein. The water supply is conducted to one end of the post and a pair of turning cables are connected to the post which, through tension being applied to either one of the cables, causes the snowmaker to be rotated with the collar. This invention eliminates the necessity of providing a separate snowmaker mounting tower.

The snow tiller comprises a transmission for driving at least one tiller shaft, a carrier frame for mounting the snow tiller on the track maintenance vehicle, and a baffle body of trapezoidal cross-section extending over the width of the snow tiller. A levelling attachment is secured to the underside of the baffle body facing the track surface.With a view to facilitating repair and maintenance operations and replacement of wear components, the baffle body is formed as a tubular profile member forming a central tiller frame. The transmission is mounted at the center of the tiller frame and drives to tiller shafts laterally connected to the transmission. The ends of the tiller shafts facing away from the transmission are mounted in outer bearings secured to the ends of the tiller frame.
