    摘要: The assembly is made up of four components. First is a rectangular, steel base plate designed to lie between the rail and the tie structure. The plate has a hole near each end. The second component is a clip that holds the rail to the base plate. The third and fourth components are a pair of anchoring devices, one for each end of the base plate. Each anchoring device has three parts. The first part is a steel base member having a first end that is nearest to the rail, a second end that is opposite the first end and extends at least to the adjacent end of the base plate, and a middle section joining the first and second ends. A flange-headed hook projects upwardly from the first end of the base member. The first end of the base member fits in the hole in the base plate so as to interlock the base plate with the anchoring device, like two pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. The flanged head of the hook overlaps part of the base plate, so as to hold it down. Finally, a fastener, such as a bolt, fastens the second end of the base member to the railroad tie, restraining the base plate from any lateral or vertical movement.

    摘要: A resilient fastener for fastening a rail on its support, comprising a flexible blade of constant thickness having a longitudinal edge to be disposed parallel to the axis of the rail and applied against the rail flange. The blade has two orifices spaced from the longitudinal edge and arranged so that they are situated above the rail support and close to the edge of the rail when in fastening position. The longitudinal edge is curved to a convex shape presenting a substantially cylindrical surface of which the directrix is a curve inscribed between the warped shape assumed by the blade when loaded in its center and the arc of a circle passing through the blade center and the centers of the orifices.

    摘要: A laterally adjustable rail clip fastening means is provided by the present invention for securing a resilient rail clip such as a Pandrol clip to a direct fixation rail mounting assembly, and, in turn, into engagement with a rail. The rail clip fastening means includes a pair of sections formed of rigid material having a curved section at one end to receive and securely hold a resilient rail clip in engagement with a rail. The sections of rigid material are laterally moveable along the top plate of the rail mounting assembly and include cam locking means to independently lock such sections into position against the rail for preventing lateral movement thereof in cooperation with the resilient rail clips.

The system includes a metallic channel tie of U-shaped cross section with the legs thereof opening downwardly and the base thereof having at each end at least one pair of openings spaced from the edges of a rail base when in position on the tie. A pair of tie plates for each rail is located on either side thereof, each plate having openings therethrough in positions corresponding to the openings in the base of the tie, and a single fastening means extends through each of the pairs of openings for securing each pair of tie plates, and thus its respective rail, to the tie.

    摘要: An improved fastener assembly is provided for mounting railroad trackage on a concrete bed or the like. The fastener assembly of the invention is constructed to include a base assembly which is anchored to the concrete bed. The base assembly is formed of top and bottom plates with an interposed resilient sheet member. The resilient sheet member serves to isolate vibrations between the rail and the track bed, and it also provides for electrical insulation, which is essential in the case of electrically operated railroads. Rail supporting clips are attached to the base for providing a positive attachment between the rails and the base. The assembly is adjustable, as will be described, so that the rail may be set precisely to the desired gauge.

    摘要: The track of a rapid transit rail system is fastened to a supporting structure via the intermediary of a plurality of rail fasteners. Each rail fastener includes a track plate supported from a base plate via the intermediary of an elastomer layer bonded between the plates. A pattern of voids is provided in the elastomer to enhance the vibration damping effect of the elastomer layer. Increased lateral restraint for the track plate and rail is provided by means of a pair of tubular members upstanding from the base plate on opposite sides of the rail. High compressive strength inserts are provided between the lateral side edges of the track plate and the upstanding tubular members for taking the lateral forces on the track plate in compression on the insert members.

    摘要: The invention relates to a rail fastening arrangement for securing a flat bottom rail on a foundation having preformed holes therein. There is provided a baseplate on which the flat bottom of the rail is adapted to rest and means for securing the baseplate to the preformed holes in the foundation. A pair of rail clips is provided one on each side of the rail with bolt means passing through a bolt aperture in each clip and engaging in a preformed bolt hole in the baseplate. Each clip has symmetrically spaced about its bolt aperture at least one pair of projecting heel lugs and the baseplate has symmetrically spaced about its bolt hole a complementary number of recesses adapted to receive and locate the clip heel lugs. Each clip is engageable with the baseplate with its lugs received and locates in the baseplate recesses, in at least two alternative dispositions. Each clip has for each lug a respective rail foot abutting and clamping shoulder, one of which rail foot abutting and clamping shoulders faces inwardly towards the rail foot for each alternative disposition of engagement of the clip with the baseplate and for each clip, each respective rail foot abutting and clamping shoulder is differentially spaced from the centre of the bolt aperture of the clip.
